The Ubuntu Connect-ED Podcast Co-hosts Charmaine Soobramoney, located in South Africa and ED Dudley located in the United States met virtually via LinkedIn during the Summer of 2020.

There was an immediate connection of like-minded spirits. After holding monthly conversations over the next year to just connect and share during the month of January 202 Charmaine asked ED if he would be interested in developing a podcast. After spending some time brainstorming the Ubuntu Connect-ED Podcast was birthed. The Vision

To demonstrate through authentic conversations that it possible t

o break free of cycles of challenges and associated trauma. The podcasts contribute to creating a world that is authentic, transparent, relatable, kind, and inclusive. Through the conversations we will illustrate that when give ourselves permission to embrace our pain and equally important allow it to teach us about listening, compassion, self-love and kindness to self and others it triggers an appreciation for living and how precious life is. The intention of the podcast is to inspire and ignite messages, of hope, peace, patience, tolerance, acceptance in a troubled world. Reaffirm the lesson that vulnerability and truth open our hearts. Vulnerability and truth have the potential of creating a community of love and support. When one feels “safe” experiences the love and support the burden of the challenge is easier to work though. The wisdom acquired during the challenging phase starts to shine a light hope and possibilities for more people experiencing trauma/challenges.
