Are you READY?? for XVII Pacific Games-Solomon Islands 2023.
The Pacific Games is now part of our lives. It will bring the Pacific games to our homes our schools, our offices, our communities, our provinces and our beautiful country. Not only are we competing in the Games, we are providing 8 Games Venues, the Largest Hotel of 3,500-beds, over the games period, 15, 000 meals a day for 5,000 Athletes and Officials, 250 Bus Fleet, 75 Vehicle Fleet, 1,000 Contractors, 3,000 Volunteers. And by June 2023 the pacific games project will employ close to ten thousand people, the Team Solomon Islands is on track in our preparations for SOL2023.

Here are the latest update concerning the electrical installation of China-aid 2023 Pacific Games Stadium Project.
The lighting commissioning of the Football Training Field, Hockey Pitch and Multifunctional Hall in Plot 2 has been completed, and the test results all meet the requirements for competition and regular use. The lighting control system can set the corresponding illuminance based on the required scenarios, so as to achieving maximum energy efficiency while meeting the scenario requirements.
Besides, solar street light commissioning work in Plot 2 has been completed, and these street lights have been officially put into operation. The street lights are equipped with high-power solar panels, high-efficiency LED light sources and dedicated large-capacity solar colloidal batteries, which can be automatically turned on and off according to the environmental illumination, and it can ensure normal lighting in rainy weather for five consecutive days. Dedicated large-capacity solar colloidal batteries usually have a longer service life.
The roof solar system of Plot 1 and Plot 2 has also successfully achieved grid connection operation, and it can continuously providing sufficient free electricity for the 2023 PG Stadium's daily operation.
Meanwhile, ultra-low noise diesel generator sets of this project has been connected to grid, ensuring sufficient power supply during the games.
