Checking Facebook today, it dawned on me why having a clear brand vision is crucial before embarking on your social media.

I worked so hard on my initial branding that it's already stuck there. Can't delete anything without having to rework the rest. Ah well, lesson learned.

At this stage of my work life, I have come to a decision to deal with a whole spectrum of things, instead of being strictly focused on just one.

To be at the center of things where I can freely communicate and collaborate with the creative on one side and the business entity on the other.

Aging, probably? Could be, and the nature of the internet. Fast, fast and fast.

Do I want to keep up with it? Not necessarily. Not necessary. But it's fun to keep running - as long as my stamina can take it.

A SONG THAT STRIKES A CHORD

Some were practically born into a musical family, and thrust into a musical environment even before they can digest their milk. I'm not one of them (err). But as it is when you grow up, you end up knowing things about your own immediate circle which you didn't comprehend when you were younger.

Like in my case, I learned that we actually had relatives in the family - both my father and mother's side - that were either musically or artistically inclined. I also had the chance to work in one of the biggest media outfits in my country - only to leave it all behind to manage an alternative rock band.

It's those seemingly little things that well have been the foundation of what I am at present. Music has always been a part of my life.

However, the theme of Ceolchord being "to the beat of a different drum" defines how under the radar and off the beaten track I also get. Experimenting with diverse genres and reviewing the strangest little, err, things.

All in all, it just means, if you're within my wavelength, within my music.

It is quite impossible for a single individual to be on top of everything and anything that happens in the world, or to be updated on all things at once.

Depending where you are at a given point in time, you can only occupy one space at a time - because you matter (haha).

It's that sense that I took to Ceolchord Creative. It was my aim to gather together, with it, all those creative aspects of music that holds meaning for me - with the anticipation that it would reach you and grow on you as well.

If you're within my wavelength, you're within my music. Simple as that.

Seemingly transcendent and elusive, however plebeian. Seemingly light feathered and tenuous, but like a spider web deceptively holding such dynamism and control that is intrinsic in its organic structure.

To notice it, you will see and hear that certain ‘something’ - Indeed, it will catch your attention instantly but it is not always ‘pretty,’ as most people expect it to be.

How it does, however, would be more out of the sheerness of it: either sheer beauty or sheer dominance. Like a soft almost-whisper that you don't have to strain to catch but still crave for, or a force that suddenly whips you breathless.

To know and acknowledge it, you will have to try your best to be indiscriminate and look beyond the surface appearance. You will have to learn more about it - To dig deeper into the psyche, and discover that key trait, or a combination of factors that makes it different from everyone else.

In the end, it’s not easy for everyone to appreciate - but when you do, they don’t disappoint.

A CREATIVE MUSIC SCRAPBOOK

A song that resonates. An artist that strikes a chord. A genre that appeals and engages.

CEOLCHORD Creative (C3) aims to gather all those elements - chosen, liked, what holds meaning - and to weave them together into something akin to a musical scrapbook.

Then C3 journeys with the artist from their fundamental direction to the dynamic changes they evolve into through time.

A SHARED PURSUIT & EXPERIENCE

C3 also wishes to engage in the aspect of staging a "mise en scène" of the perspective that the audience is as vital as the artist in the entire musical journey - to highlight not just the creator, collaborator and coordinator, but also the viewer, the listener and the supporter.
