Hello everyone and greetings from Brisbane botanical gardens!

I have been in Australia for 4 days now and it has been amazing and hard at the same time.

I am falling in love with the beautiful city. Brisbane has a really nice mix of modern and old-fashioned architecture with a lot of nature elements in it. Only looking at the facts Brisbane is everything that I have ever dreamt of. It's winter now and the coldest temperature is 20 degrees. I always love warm weather and I also love the nature.

But while emigrating here is a beautiful and amazing process it's also very hard. Didn't really have a good night sleep yet. Keep waking up around 04:00 am and then I incredibly miss my friends and family in the Netherlands. The middle of the nights and early mornings are very hard for me. But even though it's very hard to go outside I still keep on doing it because it makes me feel instantly better everytime.

It's very hard not to take the easy way out by going back to the Netherlands. Also the time difference is hitting me harder than expected. It's very difficult not being able to talk to all your friends and family that often. The question wether missing your friends and family is worth it to live in Brisbane is yet to be answered for me.

But for now I'm going to continue trying and I don't want to go home yet. I have to remember myself that I have only been here for a short time and that things will get better.
