The Christian belief is not filled with do or don’t as much as it Be or not be.

Humans were made in the image of God to be like God.

Sin, the monster contrary to God, inhabits the body and distorts our spiritual reality.

Putting off is putting off that which is contrary to godliness and this enables us to see God’s purpose with clarity.
