This is an ad by Facebook (Meta)

I tried to get the video to share somehow (for better illustrations)… but I couldn’t.

What caught my attention is that this is basically a GIF.

The guy in the video was simply raising the pineapples in his hand one after the other. With the caption overhead, Facebook was able to pass their message was passed to the intended audience.

End of story.

The lesson here is… if you are stuck on getting creatives for your ad, try GIFs. They work just like videos and Facebook accepts them quite well.

I have used a couple in my ads myself and they delivered.

If you’re thinking of how to apply this, the illustration in the picture should give you ideas. Feel free to experiment too.

Recognise that you are not in competition with anybody.

Because we are all different.

We had different strengths, we interpret things differently, we learn differently… and so on.

The most important thing is …

Where do you want to go?
What do you need to get there?
Do you need to learn from someone?

Do what have to do.

Keep doing it without expecting immediate results. The most important thing is be consistent at doing the right things, and you will surely win.

One of life’s greatest inventions that still baffles me till today is the airplane.

Especially when I am flying… and look out the window to see the beautiful array of clouds.

Above and beneath me... at that point... I realize that I am surrounded ONLY by clouds.

I marvel at the height above ground level… running into tens of thousands of feet… The weight of the airplane, humans and cargo… suspended in the air.

Inevitably these also make air travel very dangerous. Most of the time… when an airplane crashes, there are barely any survivors.

But that is not the point I am trying to drive at right now.

Rather my point is this… That this marvel was created ... by thinking. human. beings. like you and I.

With inspiration drawn from watching birds fly, they imagined that humans could fly as well… and get from point A to point B within the shortest possible time. Gosh!

You know… even after the airplane was invented, it was still not widely accepted until a couple of years later. And I can imagine how the people at that time must have felt. It is such a mind-blowing invention... too good to be true.

But why am I sharing this?

My dear, what I have to say is this. Do not underestimate yourself. You are too powerful that your power scares you. There is nothing… no single thing... that your mind conceives… that it cannot achieve.

I hope you remember that the next time you have an idea.

Yes, sometimes your ventures may not work or gained the traction that you hoped it would. Then you start to second-guess yourself. Listen, that still does not change that in-born capacity that you possess… to do anything you set your mind to do.

You are powerful ... so powerful ... beyond measure, my friend. Do not let anything ever hold you back.

I was with my friend the other day, and she wanted to order for something urgently.

There were two suppliers that she could get it from… One was her usual supplier.

But then she decided to contact the other person.

Why?

Well.. according to her, her usual supplier would usually take a long time to respond. But this was a decisive moment and she needed prompt response. And that was how her supplier lost that opportunity to make money.

You see, time is very expensive, and you cannot afford to joke with it. Time management is a life skill … and anybody who wants to be successful must master it.

Whether you have a business or you are a student or you are employed… this principle applies.

People usually rate others based on how they respond to time. Sometimes, it is an unconscious decision, but it happens.

If you are known to take your sweet time before you get things done, it won’t be long before you start to notice how it costs you opportunities.

You may have very legitimate concerns, granted. But NOBODY cares. If the tables were turned, you probably wouldn’t care. Because you are human.

Instead of making excuses, please focus on finding solutions. If there is one way that people can most assuredly reach you, please put it out there. Whether it is your phone, email, WhatsApp, social media… just make sure you are available especially during working hours.

Please stop joking with your time... And make sure that people around you understand that you value your time, and have them respect it.
