Love&Light,Elle I created Love&light,Elle as a platform to voice out my advocacy for Mental Health Awareness and self care.

This advocacy ignited a burning desire in me to create digital contents and self love guide videos as tools to end the stigma on mental illnesses.

It's true when they say that self-love isn't just about relaxing bubble baths, or going out on a date with yourself, or a retail therapy. Sometimes it's laying in bed all day, binge watching Netflix shows and movies because you're too tired to go out and socialize (parang ako ata to? Haha 💁🏻). Sometimes it means allowing and learning to accept that we have flaws and shortcomings, so we can build on creating greater self love. It's deeply knowing that our worth can never be determined by someone else and we don't have to prove ourselves to anyone. 💕

To quote the amazing Ms.Viola Davis, "There are no prerequisites to worthiness. You're born worthy. And I think that's a message a lot of people need to hear". 📌❣

Have a great and lovely day ahead, everyone!

Love & light,

"I feel that there is nothing more truly artistic than to love people" - Vincent Van Gogh 💕

This was taken last Sunday at Venice Grand Canal Mall in Taguig. Sunday is a special day to us, we also now call it "fambam day with the Js" 😂✨💛

Here's a rundown of what we did:

📌 Had lunch at Uncle Cheffy over steak, ribs, pizza and seafood.
📌 Piazza photo shoot / strolled and checked shops around the mall
📌 Planned our annual summer trip (thinking maybe an Antipolo private resort or try Sinagtala/Morong beach at my dad's home province, Bataan)
📌 Merienda at Tim Hortons ( over Coffee x grilled cheese sandwich x Timbits)

We made it a habit to spend quality time with each other often. With all our busy schedules, and for the reason that me and my brother are grown ups now, we still make it a point to spend time with our parents and spoil them once in a while (even though they STILL get to do the spoiling most of the time haha). Family is everything. And I honestly believe, that wherever life may take me, I will always go back to my 1st home.

Looking at all our pictures from last weekend, I have nothing but overflowing love and gratefulness in my heart. I am thankful that these are my people. They are the core of my being. They are my rock and my anchors in life. ⚓

Mensahe ng isang pari: "Self-care is a priority, not a luxury"

Self care is a priority, not a luxury 💯💕

May payo ang isang misyonaryong Argentinian para sa lahat Aniya, "Self–care is a priority not a luxury" Inihalintulad niya ang katawan ng tao sa phone battery na malapit nang mawalan ng power o tinatawag na "lowbat" na kailangang i–recharge "Alagaan ang sarili. Charge yourself by having fun

Hear How Diana Confronted Camilla | Diana: In Her Own Words

That moment when Camila asked Princess Diana "You've got everything you've ever wanted, all the men in the world fall in love with you, you've got beautiful children, what more would you want?" and she answered, "I WANT MY HUSBAND". Giiiiiirl, that iz profound! 🙌🏻

And while I might've spazzed out and slapped the soul out of Camila had I been on Princess D's position, she remained composed and handled the situation as classy and sophisticated as possible like what a REAL princess should. 👸🏻👑

But the real takeaway here is that NO WOMAN should be put in a position to beg for her own husband/man. And you do not do such thing to a fellow woman as you would not want it done to you. 💯

It's sad to think Diana kissed a prince, but he turned out to be a frog. 🐸🤭🤮

In archival recordings, Princess Diana recounts an uncomfortable conversation with her husband’s mistress. Diana: In Her Own Words premieres Monday, August 1...

Jealouslut

This emotional and powerful performance from Demi Lovato at the Grammys brought me to tears! 😭

She's been through so much the past years and yet she came out stronger than ever. What a beautiful, talented, strong woman! ✨💛

“nobody is listening to me” SHE WAS SCREAMING FOR HELP, WHY NOBODY HELPED THIS GIRL?

There are many definitions of growth. And there are also countless ways and tips you might stumble upon online. But one thing they won't tell is that, growth is painful. It really does. It will crush your bones and tear your heart until you have no other way but to tap out. Until the only way is to get out of your comfort zone. Until you come to that moment when you feel it's time to leave your past self behind.

When I look back on my life, I see pain, mistakes and heartache. I remember screwing up so many times I might even get an award for being "Most Consistent" (😂). But jokes aside, looking back I see strength, learned lessons and pride in myself. It is between those moments that I gathered the courage to face reality and accept change.

So now I say and share this with you, "Your growth is a continuous process" 🌱

Rumi Kapur have said it, we don't just wake up and become a butterfly, honey. It is and will always be a process. And don't be afraid of things changing, view every mistakes, failures and setbacks as a lesson. I've learned from life that sometimes, our most painful struggles can sometimes grant us the most necessary growth.

We've made it this far, we can make it through whatever comes next. 🌾🌻💪🏻

There is no shame in taking medications for a mental illness (whatever works for you!). 💊💕

To have an anxiety means having the NEED to figure out things right away. It's overthinking life like you have to answer to every feeling or situation. But it took me quite some time to realize that that's not how life works. We figure life out just by living, by fu***ng up, by missing an opportunity, by seeking an advice but being stubborn anyway and not taking it. Because through it, we learn what's important and what isn't. Sometimes we have no fu***ng idea what to do, what we're doing and it's scary, but it's okay.

So for today's , we say "IT'S VERY OKAY NOT TO KNOW YET". Trust you gut and know that everything will work out the way it is supposed to be. It always does. Relax, we were never in control anyway. 🌱

People helping each other is the most beautiful sight in this Taal volcano crisis - BXD

Bayanihan is still alive ✨💛

----
🇵🇭🤝 The Bayanihan (pronounced as buy-uh-nee-hun) is a Filipino custom derived from a Filipino word “bayan”, which means nation, town or community. The term bayanihan itself literally means “being in a bayan”, which refers to the spirit of communal unity, work and cooperation to achieve a particular goal.

Disasters bring out the best and worst in people. I choose to believe that at what happened to Taal Volcano eruption, the best overcome the worst.

This morning's hits close to home. I, too, was guilty because oftentimes I find myself questioning my worth. Am I enough? Am I worthy? Most of the times, it trigger memories that would make me feel sad and depressed. But one usual conversation with my best friend changed everything. She told me never to sell myself short — to always consider myself as valuable as I truly deserve. And to never guilt myself for how I feel because it's valid.

So I want to say these to all of you too, "YOU ARE ENOUGH. YOU HAVE ALWAYS BEEN ENOUGH". 💛 You might be in a situation right now where everything feels wrong and things aren't going into it's right place, but that doesn't make you any less of a person. Remind yourself of what you've been able to overcome. All the times you felt like you weren't going to make it through and you proved yourself and the universe wrong. Remember that. Stand strong in your light and say "I am enough. Always have, always been ENOUGH". ✨💛

Help Save the Horses of Taal!

Help save the horses of Taal!

and PETA are collaborating with organizations and local farms throughout Cavite & Batangas to rescue injured and abandoned horses in Taal and surrounding areas.

Most of these horses were left behind by their owners during the volcano’s eruption and are now in need of urgent care. All of the proceeds will go to their transportation, maintenance, and veterinary care.

Any amount will make a difference! :)

If you’d like to volunteer, please reach out at [email protected] or to PETA at (0999) 888 7382. They're looking for vets, drivers for the trailers, and people to help herd, load & care for the horses.

Please help spread the word! 🙏❤

I'm Elaine Victoria Jadren from Malabon City. Family and close friends call me "Elle".

I'm a freelance creative and a certified Digital Marketing Specialist by profession.

I am also an advocate for Mental Health Awareness and self-care. This advocacy gave me a burning desire to reach out to people with mental health issues and to use my voice to end the stigma. In 2014 I was diagnosed with Anxiety Disorder and just this year, with PTSD (Post-Traumatic Stress Disorder). Since then, I became particularly curious with the human mind and on how vast and complex it is - yet efficient, with all its 100 billion neurons, and of the 100 trillion connections it can do.

I have this habit of signing off with “Love and Light”. Ever since I have come across this, I have been connected with it and hence using it. Many a times, I have been asked what it means and many a times, not asked but presumed to be something. The reactions to it has been the usual—either favorable, nonchalant or adverse. For me when I sign off as “love and light” I am offering the love within my heart and the light of my being. Offering is another way of recognizing the love within your heart and the shine of the light within your being. For me its another way of saying “The highest in me bows to the highest in you” (I recognize the highest in you as well as the highest in me). And since then, it’s as if I am giving the love and light back into the world..through its people.
