3RD DECEMBER ROUNDUP

• Burton Albion were pegged back late on by MK Dons. Victor Abeboyejo scored a 1st half penalty, before substitute Bradley Johnson came on and scored, to sn**ch a point. A draw doesn't do either team any favours in the relegation zone, both sides will see it as 2 points dropped.

• Stapenhill drew 2-2 at Coton Green with goals from Connor Richins and Cameron Steele. The Swans conceded twice in the last 10 minutes having been 2-0 up. Charlie Rumin got sent off minutes before the game finished.

• Rocester came from a goal down to draw at home to Wirral based side Ashville. Oli Hetherington equalising for The Romans

• Uttoxeter Town got a 0-0 draw for the second weekend in a row. This time playing out a stalemate against Wolverhampton Casuals. Another clean sheet being a big positive to take.

Burton Albion advance to the Papa Johns Trophy Last 16, and bag 20k in prize money too. The game finished 1-1, with Mustapha Carayol prodding home a 91st minute equaliser in a crowded penalty area.

Then a tense penalty shootout followed. It went all the way to the 7th penalty takers, with Bobby Kamwa keeping his composure to score the winning penalty.

TODAYS RESULTS

• Burton Albion scored deep into injury time. As Adrian Mariappa's headed goal gave Albion a share of the spoils in a 2-2 draw against Plymouth. Accrington's win widened the safety gap to 6 points. But a point from the league leaders will give huge encouragement.

• Stapenhill lost 3-1at home to Chelmsley Town. In a result which will be a huge blow to their faint playoff hopes. Particularly with teams behind The Swans having 4 games in hand.

• Uttoxeter Town lost 2-0 away at Darlaston Town. Uttoxeter stay in the MFL Prem relegation places, whilst Darlaston climb up to 2nd

12TH NOVEMBER ROUND UP

• Burton Albion were 2-0 down in the first half, before Deji Oshilaja scored against his old club, and Tom Hamer equalised on the stroke of half time. The Brewers went ahead through Victor Abeboyejo to make it 3-2, however The Addicks equalised in the 75th minute to nick a point.
It's a point Brewers fans would have taken before kick off, however it's a shame the Brewers couldn't hang onto the lead.

• Stapenhill's recent winning streak has come to a shuddering half. With a humbling 5-0 defeat at in form Nuneaton Griff. The Swans went down to 10 men early in the first half at 0-0, when they had the keeper sent off for a professional foul. That defeat drops The Swans down to 6th.

• Rocester hearts were broken in the 96th minute. As Alsager Town sn**ched the winning goal deep into stoppage time. Romans keeper Charlie Wood saved a penalty in the 1st half to keep the scores level. Alsager took a 49th minute lead, which was immediately cancelled out by Tom Mellor's strike. However a battling encounter which looked like it was going to end level was won by The Bullet Men. As they launched a ball into the box, with the striker with his back to goal produced a spectacular overhead kick. The Romans still have 3 points to their name for the season, and are unlucky not to have added any more.

THIS WEEKEND'S FIXTURE PREVIEW

• Burton Albion will be at home to 9th placed Charlton Athletic. The Brewers will be hoping for a decent home result against The Addicks, as they look to climb off the bottom of the table.

• Stapenhill are on their travels again. As they make the relatively short trip to Nuneaton Griff. Griff landed a huge midweek result, beating Bilston Town away 4-1. With 4 second half goals.
The Swans will be looking to take advantage of a midweek breather, as they look to keep the fine league form going.

• Rocester are at home again with a 2pm start. And welcome Alsager Town, who have recently been taken over by new management. The Romans will be desperate for a positive result, to take into what will be a 2 week break between games.

Burton Albion will be taking a team to Midland Football League Premier side Highgate United, in the Birmingham Senior Cup on Tuesday evening.

Uttoxeter Town FC have got a huge home fixture on Tuesday. As they take on Wolverhampton Casuals, in a match where both sides will be desperate for the 3 points to steer them clear of the relegation places.
