I am amazed to see our oldest daughter, now 8, grow in God. It blesses me to see her love for God at such a young age. She is a true worshiper and it blesses my heart to see what God is doing in her. I am excited to see His plans for unfold before our eyes ❤️

I caught a picture of our oldest daughter studying her Bible. Children will gravitate to the things they love if you give them space to do so. Teach your children how to form good habits by example and watch them form their own. One thing I hate is trying to force my kids to do something I want them to do. It’s a blessing to see them do things without your prompting because they have fallen in love with them. Don’t get me wrong, in the beginnings there will be what feels like forcing and sometimes it is necessary, but less forcing and more leading by example and giving your kids a bit more freedom to choose will reap better benefits. I am still learning this today, it takes time.

TO SUMMER SCHOOL OR NOT TO SUMMER SCHOOL 📚

The good news is you can choose! We plan to homeschool year round, but this year the girls asked if they could have a summer break for the month of June. My answer was yes. I believe that kids should never stop learning, but that doesn’t mean the learning always has to look the same. So for us our summer break will include a choice in what they want to learn each day (with a few exceptions 😉), less curriculum and more free time for their creative minds to explore new interests, play, and allow for even more self lead learning. The learning doesn’t have to stop during the summer months, kids should be given the opportunity to fall more in love with it ❤️

Our Living Room makeover is COMPLETE!

I love home decor and can scroll through home decor pictures for hours. I really wanted to make our living room a cozy place for our family to hang out, watch movies, read, talk, nap and all the things. So I set out to do one of my favorite things...decorate! I really transformed the living room into what I envisioned and I am hoping that our family and friends will build many memories right here in this room.

7 weeks in and I must say that after taking some time off and not working out as intensely as I had been it took some time to gain my strength back. has been pushing me to challenge myself and I am stronger physically and mentally. His workout regimen takes discipline and hard work, but it teaches you how to push past how you feel and takes you to another level. I’ve never trained this way before and I love it!

Homeschooling has given us a lot of flexibility and opened up more opportunities for learning in many different ways. We wanted to find away to build in incredible memories while teaching the girls things that they would never forget. Tent camping is not really an option for us right now because as most of you know we have a daughter with special needs. There are many factors that we always have to take into consideration when it comes to most things. So, how could we adventure as a family while creating a safe environment for Alyssah? A travel trailer!

📚STORY TIME📚I just made this discovery today. I thought it was so good and I had to share. The Good and The Beautiful has an online library that is completely FREE. These books are narrated with video, they are clean, and have great messages. I know we are all busy and we can’t always read enough to our kids. This could be a great way to get your little ones reading in and keep them busy while we are busy around the house.

READING! My little Avah has grown to love reading in just a few months. She wants to read all the time! She loves Beginners Box Set A and wants to read all 10 books at once 😂. Proud mama right here! There is no other feeling like seeing your baby girl accomplish something and be proud of herself for doing it.
