This is the thumbnail design I made for my Formula 1 documentary: Transition to The Silver War F1 2015 - Lewis Hamilton vs Nico Rosberg

The design has an strong connection with the prequel (Origins of The Silver War F1 2014) and the sequel (The Silver War F1 2016) that completes The Silver War trilogy. In fact the design is a combination of the other two thumbnail designs made for the documentaries mentioned before.

Common elements: The driver protagonist looking at front (Nico Rosberg at the left side and Lewis Hamilton and the right side) and The Silver War logotype, adding the words related to the title of the documentary (in this case "Transition to") At the bottom of the drivers the two Mercedes F1 cars drove by the protagonists of the documentary.

As I said before, this thumbnail shares design elements with the other two previous designs. The smoke effect at the top and the bottom that simulates a cloudy background is similar to the overcast background you can see in the thumbnail design of The Silver War F1 2016.

The kind of green-blue color grading at both sides of the thumbnail is very similar to the thumbnail design related to Origins of The Silver War F1 2014 (in that version the color grading is at the top and at the bottom) that color is similar to the green-blue Petronas tone, which is the main sponsor of the Formula 1 team the drivers involved in the documentary were driving for at that time, in 2015: Mercedes AMG Petronas Formula One Team.

The reason why this thumbnail shares design patterns with the other two thumbnail designs related to The Silver War is absolutely intentional. Transition to The Silver War is the part of the trilogy that is at the middle of the full story (being the sequel of Origins of The Silver War F1 2014 and the prequel of The Silver War F1 2016) Combinning different elements of the other two thumbnail designs reinforces the concept mentioned in the title of the documentary: "Transition to" taking elements of the past and the future.

The best analysis of the Carlos Sainz story during the 2024 Formula 1 season. Carlos Sainz has did impressive performances in the Bahrain Grand Prix and Australian Grand Prix. This video is an analysis into Sainz’s journey in those races that inlcudes bold overtakes and some initial bits about his rivalry with his teammate in Ferrari, Charles Leclerc. To create this video I've used footage from part of the Carlos Sainz edit I'm making for my project: the Docuedit F1 2024. An spectacular video that will show Formula 1 as you have never seen before.

This is the thumbnail design I made for my edit: Bury your Demons - Sebastian Vettel vs Charles Leclerc

The edit related to this design is about the tense relationship both Ferrari drivers, Sebastian Vettel and Charles Leclerc, had at that time in 2019. They had different controversial moments that season in terms of team orders and even a clash on track during the Sao Paulo Grand Prix that caused the retirement of both drivers.

That's why you can see in the design the Leclerc face and the Vettel's face pointing in opposite direction, like a symbol of rivalry. At the middle is some kind dark face that simulates a demon in an exorcism ritual, represented in the candles at both sides of the thumbnail. That demon is mentioned in the song I chose for the edit (you can listen a piano version on this post) the name of the song is Phoenix, but at some point of that song the lyrics says:

'Go bury your demons then tear down the ceiling
Phoenix, fly'

The concept 'Bury your demons' is the key of the design and the video. I used that phrase from the lyrics to try to explain that every conflict can be solved, burying that demons that are the reasons because you are angry with the other person and starting from zero.

The Ferrari car you can see at the middle is that starting point. That Ferrari was the car Vettel and Leclerc drove next season, in 2020. I made that video the same day Ferrari presented the car, as a symbol of a new beginning for both drivers, starting from zero and having a better relationship from that moment. Fortunately that happened and the video and the thumbnail I made were a prediction of that story.

This is the thumbnail design I made for my Max Verstappen edit: Star Walking.

The concept design represents the dream of a Formula 1 driver (in this case Max Verstappen) to reach to the maximum glory, the top of the mountain.

That concept is symbolized in the zig-zag ladder made by stars shinning that you can see in the middle of the thumbnail. Every step of the zig-zag pattern represents a Formula 1 championship trophy.

The two stars you can see at the beginning of the ladder represents the two Formula 1 World Championship throphies Max Verstappen achieved in the 2021 and 2022 season (that was the moment I made that edit)

The ladder has 8 steps, that is the number of Formula 1 championships any driver has not been able to achieve at the moment I'm writing this post (The record is in 7 achieved by Michael Schumacher and Lewis Hamilton)

At the top of the ladder is the moon, symbolizing the dreams people have in life, which sometimes looks impossible to achieve as previously was to reach the moon in a rocket. In this case the dream of any F1 driver is to break the maximum record of 8 F1 World Championships.

You can see that dream reflected in the Max Verstappen's face, that is looking up to that ladder, thinking into reach the moon (the dream to be the very best F1 driver of all times) The song that I selected for making that edit (and it's sounding in this post) is: Star Walkin'

The lyrics of that song is related to the story of the thumbnailn design I was explaining before:

Don't ever say it's over if I'm breathin'
Racin' to the moonlight and I'm speedin'
I'm headed to the stars, ready to go far
I'm star walkin'

At the background you can see the Red Bull car of Max Verstappen during the 2022 season, which is the season that is represented in the edit.
