I’m definitely sourcing for quality over quantity these days guys!! I feel like I’ve ended up buying a ton of stuff just because it was cheap, and then I just feel wasteful. 🤦‍♀️ what about you? Do you source for quality or quantity or is quantity king for you? I mean of course BOTH is ideal... but sometimes just not plausible. 😂💕

I don’t try my hand at retail arbitrage often... mostly because I worked in retail for a long time and I know how hard it is to truly make a living off of reselling it. (Unless you have an employee discount to work with that is!)💕
According to ConsumerReports.org TJ Maxx regularly gets sued because their compare at prices are misleading since they’re producing the merch themselves💕
A lot of the popular brand names are items that never hit the retail stores... or even outlet stores. And are not actually discounted, but selling for exactly what TJ Maxx wants you to pay for them. 🤷‍♀️💕 Did you know that? Does retail arbitrage work for you?

First things First: remain calm! 😂

Even with this slightly higher shipping rate, Poshmark is extremely competitive with their shipping prices and this could work out to your advantage as a seller.

Make sure your closet is Bundle-friendly! If you have two items that are the same but different in color or match (like shoes and a purse) make sure to note that in the description. I often put things like, “Bundle with matching purse in my closet for the best deal!” Or let the customer know in the description you have a similar item in that size.

The customer isn’t always going to go through your whole closet, so having these add-on phrases in your description can help the customer get the most bang for their shipping buck and help you move more merch!

This is so embarrassing you guys. 🤦‍♀️ I I don’t know why I took the original picture like that... fingers in it and everything! 😂 the second photo was just shot with my ring light and edited with the PhotoRoom app. Let’s see if it sells now! 💕💕💕💕 have you ever had to retake photos and wondered what the heck you were thinking that day?! I always retake photos if an item has been sitting for too long.

NWT Kenzie Skirt... green tags were 1.00?! I totes took the risk and picked this up without looking up comps yesterday thinking it was a safe bet.
Guess what comps were? $5.00. For NWT. This skirt sells for $5.00 on PM.
DO👏YOU👏KNOW👏WHAT👏THAT👏MEANS?!

My cart ain’t always the prettiest... but everything in here is strategically picked based on what they’ve sold for in the past, and are guaranteed to make me 5-10 times what they cost me! 🙌🙌🙌 I’ve lost money on almost every single item I failed to look up comps on. Sure, you’re running your own business... but technically we’re still in customer service. And if you’ve ever worked in customer service before, you KNOW there are angry customers out there.

Maybe they’re not necessarily angry at you, they’re angry at the world. Or maybe something slipped through the cracks and you legitimately screwed up an order. Or MAYBE this person has no control in their life, so they’ve decided to try and gain some by being nasty to someone on the internet.

There could be a million reasons why.
But before you decide to take it personally and let it ruin your day, remember this is a business. This is about your money. That person doesn’t know you... take a breath, respond in the most professional way you can, and posh on!
