The 94th edition of the most prestigious awards in the entertainment industry concluded at the Dolby theatres, Los Angeles, on 27th March. Here is a list of some of the winners of the year that took home the big prize for their phenomenal work.
The Power of the Dog led this year's nominations list with a staggering 12 nominations but only managed to win one for direction.
Dune led the list in both nominations and wins by getting nominated for ten categories winning for 6, all in the technical categories, the most for any film this year.
Belfast and West Side Story followed it with seven nominations each, and King Richard with 6. CODA stood out by winning all three awards for which it was nominated - the best picture, the best supporting actor, and the best-adapted screenplay.
Also, Will Smith and Jessica Chastain won the best actor/actress awards for the first time, a long-overdue win!
