This is not the usual song-sarter-all-around sample pack. This is disturbing!
It's meant to be an inspiration kick starter for your music production with a heavy focus on creating dark and eerie vibes.
The pack contains over 100 carefully crafted weird, distorted stereo sounds.

In this pack you gonna find:

In addition to that I also added 57 self-made foley recordings. As a bonus I included an Ableton 11 project file which contains a demo track for the sample pack. Dedication to the unpredictable. Comitted to weird and twisting sounds. Attracted by the unknown.

My name is Monchi but my friends call me Fred. Born and raised in Germany I attended my first psytrance parties and festivals at a young age.
Due to my passion for music I decided on some day several years ago to take it upon myself and spend hours and hours in front of my computer to recreate the madness I expierenced on the dancefloor.
Heavily influenced by Saruman, error messages, the stars, anarchism, animes, filthy rhythms and all that stuff I continue my journey through this world always on the hunt for the next raw sound to harvest.

I am super excited to share my music soon with you - through your headphones or on a big soundsystem, in a club or at a festival dancefloor, alone or with your friends - to at least tickle your brain gently.

This picture is now almost one year old.

I used to have a lot of early morning sessions with my son sleeping on my back. ^^

Time flies sometimes. A lot of things happened through this year which brought some of the most radical changes to my life.
Curious what the next will bring... 🤘

Artist of the week: Mick Gordon

This artist of the week is also something different compared to the last ones.
This post is especially dedicated to his work on the soundtrack of the game 'doom'.
It's kinda hard to put this music into some genre.
I would describe it as some industrial glitched up metal noise with some break core elements to it.
The soundscape he creats is really dark athmospheric and with a lot of nuances to the classic ultra tuned down metal guitar.

When I listened the first time to his music I got the feeling of hearing how it feels to knock your head
against a wall and both are bursting apart. But in addition to that: being stuck in a loop of the doing that over and over again with small deviations to it.
All in a good way :D

After experiencing that I went out to the internet to find out how to create stuff like that I stumbled across a youtube video of a GDC conference where he was holding
a lecture on his approach towards that soundtrack. It's unique. I never saw something like this before.
This lecture is a huge present to the world imo. The creativity behind it is just mindblowing. I really recommend you to watch it.
I saw for the first time how somebody explained how to create a big soundmachine spitting out a variety of different sounds in a unpredictable way all from one source.
All distorted and disturbing. The doom instrument!

So like with a lot things inspiration isn't infinite and so is mine.
My intention of doing this whole artist of the week thing was to share some of my biggest inspirations
and that feels done for the moment.
Ofc there is still more stuff that inspires me, but I got feeling that I mentioned all my main sources.
I don't want start posting stuff just to post something brain afk.
So I decided that this is my last artist of the week.
If there is something in future which pulls my attention and inspires me, I will let you know.

Yoo aliens! 👽

About last friday night...
It was a very huge, big megablast to me. 🥵
Almost indescribable.
The memories of this will always have a special place in my heart.
I struggled a lot during the preparation of the event.
Countless hours in the hotline of flight companies.
Too high expections in the beginning for the decoration and everything.
But eventually letting them go and have the time of life :D
A lesson I already learned many times, but still not often enough ^^

Artist of the week: Jumpstreet

To me Jumpstreet is a really versital artist. He seems to be an allround talent.
But this one will be not so much about the music itself, even through it has an big impact on me...
I got very inspired by his _Glitch CNTRL_ Ableton effect racks by Futurephonic .
These are just too crazy!!!
It really opened up my eyes on how far you could push boundaries with just Ableton native plugins!
I reverse engineered a lot and just was completley mindblown by the complexity of the racks and how everything is networked together.
This was an immense inspiration to me and really pushed my production skills a bit forward and away from fancy-looking-plugins.
Not everything that is gold also glitters.
And that is my go for the Ableton native plugins now.
I just tried to stick to the basics as long as I can and see how far a I can get with it.
Really far :D
Jumpstreet is truly a great musician and a mastermind in terms of production skills.
And there for sure a lot more to talk about here, but I will leave it like that :)

Artist of the week: Gigi Psy

Gigi is one of my latest inspirations when it comes to piercing FM leads and big boom party grooves.
The way everything gets cutted mirrors really the way I want to shake my head to psytrance music.
He got an amazing balance between a glitchy rhythmic FM storm and funk to the max.
You can find all the classic psytrance lead characters in his tracks: from laser sharp to juicy bubbly.
But really at top notch quality - talking to each other all over the place!
I can hear a lot of fun and joy in the music and that is what I really appreciate! It seems to me that there is a trend in psytrance where music is not taken too serious anymore.
It's not always anymore about super complex acid mind buster music that you are only able to hear and understand on a ton of psychedelics.
I don't want to say here that this is not cool ^^, but I just am happy to see this variety appearing.
There is coming a lot of party fun lately and for me Gigi is one of the representers of this music!

Artist of the week: Richard Devine .

So this artist of the week is a little different to the previous ones because he is not producing any psytrance music as far as I know,
but anyway he is a huge insperation for me regarding sounddesign.

I discovered his work just recently when I found myself stuck in terms of inspiration. Sometimes I feel pressured to go on a hunt to find "the
next banger lead" or "the next multidimensional cyborg gargle".
But than I watched a masterclass about his journey as a sounddesigner and that really reignited my thirst for exploration!

Trying something completely new absolutly disconnected from what I usally do.
To listen to him and his patches make me feel like I am on an outer frontier of sounddesign research.
His music is for me without any boundaries or conventions. It's just raw exploration.
Due to his strong use of probalistic and grain devices, I got much more focused on creating complex instrument and effect racks with a
lot of S&H modules modulating rates of other LFO's which modulate again some stuff and so on.
Really recursive and down the rabbithole!
I heard him talking about "creating an envoirment" where you just set the initial values and the rules for the evolution of the sounds.
Small changes here can have really big effects like the "butterfly effect".
It's a beautiful experience which I highly recommend :)

Artist of the week: Delirium Tremens.

This is to me a really emotional one.
When I try to describe this music, it feels like taking a photo of a beautiful landscape view.
The picture will never be capable to translate or describe the whole expierence of that view.
It's just scratching on the surface...
Anyway:

Delirium Tremens created a truly unique style in psychedelic trance!
The quantity of sounds he fires at once and how he mixes them all is just unbelievable. I often listen to his music and it feels like magic. It's so intangible how the storys of the tracks get told. All the elements are changing so rapidly that it's hard to see the structure behind the parts in the tracks.
But there is one! It's just... intangible. At least for me.

There is almost everything inspiring in within the tracks of Delirium Tremens. The sounddesign, the arrangement, the story telling, the mixing... The list goes on. But what recently caught my attention, is his stereo field arrangement. It's cracked!
Everything goes blip blop brrr from all sides and everywhere at once.
When I am listening I really don't know what exactly is happening.
