One thing Van Buren Police Department LOVED TO SAY was that Jordan Shreeve "fled" the state of Arkansas. Their narrative & use of the word "fled", which was said on local news & gossiped about throughout the town, insinuated that Jordan ran from police. That he went into hiding. That Van Buren police & prosecutors were unaware of his location & he was on the run.
They told that narrative because it implies guilt. They told that narrative because it makes him look guilty. They told that narrative because it was all they had on Jordan Shreeve.
They told a bold face lie.
THE TRUTH: Olivia Soto was murdered on November 8th 2018. On that same day Jordan Shreeve was interviewed by Van Buren police for over 6 hours. You can watch the interrogation tapes on my youtube channel.
On November 9th 2018, a day later, a day after they released the crime scene, a days worth of people going in & out of the home... Van Buren PD went back to the house wanting to collect more evidence. Evidence they should have collected before they ever released the scene on the 8th - but I digress.
November 10th Jordan seeks comfort with his family in Michigan. He is a free citizen. He was not under arrest. He had done nothing wrong. He had every right to leave. Would you have wanted to stay in that house?
On November 10th Jordan Shreeve's legal council contacted Van Buren police department. Jordans defense attorney informed Van Buren Police Department that Jordan was going to leave for Michigan to stay with his family & if they decided they wanted to charge him he would come back to the state to be arrested. They knew where he was. The address he was staying at. Who was with him. They knew EXACTLY where he was and why he went. They discussed it with his attorney.
So I'm not exactly sure why detective Wear, excuse me he's now captain Wear... got on the news & said "their big break in the case" was that he came back to Van Buren. THEY KNEW WHERE HE WAS THE ENTIRE TIME. But hey,
