The other day I was hanging out with a friend. This friend is a Christian, but she doesn’t always act, speak or think like one. Some days, she is completely in-line with God’s Word, and some days, her life is a struggle that gets the best of her.

As our eyes met, I really wanted to say something about it, but, I decided to let the Lord speak to her heart, knowing nothing that I say will have the same impact as the Father’s words.

So…. I prayed with her, and after some time had passed, I winked at her, and walked away from the mirror.

I try everyday, and I fail everyday. I am so not perfect, I am a work in progress, and I'm thankful for God’s grace, mercy, faithfulness and His promises to His believers.

SHE IS ME.

Mya Graham, I awoke this morning a turned to look in your beautiful resting face, sleeping so peacefully and perfect. (Every now and again I fall asleep in your room after our long late night conversations)

I thought to myself 2 questions, "How did I get so lucky and where did the time go?" My baby girl is/has growing up right before my eyes..

I decided to write this note to you. So many years down the road this will show up in our memories and you will remember how much I love you and how special I know you are.

To my daughter,
My beautiful, smart/intelligent, kind,loving,nurturing, caring, compassionate, driven, go getter. My sour patch and my gift from GOD. I love you beyond measure, beyond words and beyond time. I want you to always know and remember your strength and your worth!! You matter and you are needed in this world. Your gifts and greatness is one of a kind & designed and created only for you.
Thank you for choosing me to be your Mother and Friend. I'll love you until there is no more me.
