Surah Al Kausar was awarded in Mecca. It is in the last Juz of the Quran. The word “Kausar” means “plentiful or in abundance”. It indicates how much Allah blessed Prophet (PBUH). Allah also said to Prophet (PBUH) to thank Him and slaughter a camel as a celebration of blessing.

Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said: “When you recite Surah Fatiha and Surah Ikhlas upon lying on your bed, you will be safeguarded and should become fearless of everything except death.”
Recitation of Surah Ikhlas brings the benefit of reward equal to the recitation of one-third of Quran. Our beloved Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said: “Say: He is Allah, Absolute Oneness…, By Him in Whose hand my soul is, it is equal to one-third of the Quran!” (Bukhari)
The constant recitation of Surah Ikhlas increases the presence of the angels at the time of death

Ayatul Kursi also known as the Throne verse is the 255th verse of Surah Al Baqara the 2nd Surah of Holy Quran. This specific verse is regarded as most powerful verse in the whole Quran and do possess special ability to undone evil and turn the odds in the favor.
