🕎 THE RIGHTEOUSNESS OF GOD

Romans 4:2-6 If his good deeds had made him acceptable to God, he would have had something to boast about. But that was not God's way. For the Scriptures tell us, "Abraham believed God, and God counted him as righteous because of his faith." When people work, their wages are not a gift, but something they have earned. But people are counted as righteous, not because of their work, but because of their faith in God who forgives sinners. David also spoke of this when he described the happiness of those who are declared righteous without working for it:(NLT)

Self-righteousness is also called Righteousness by works/Righteousness of the law.

If you are Born Again, you have been made the Righteousness of God in Christ.
This is Righteousness by faith.
It is given to us on account that God is Right.

This means, you are not doing the right thing in order to be righteous, but because you are Righteous. This is not something you work for, but You receive by believing in Christ.
It is not of works, so no man can boast.

✍🏻MAJOR NOTE
The deeper sense of Righteousness by faith means; "I belong to God." You ought to cease from your own righteousness & embrace the Righteousness of God. This is Humility.

🕎 THINGS FREELY GIVEN

1 Corinthians 2:12 Now we have received, not the spirit of the world, but the Spirit who is from God, that we might know the things that have been freely given to us by God.(NKJV )

The spirit realm is more real than the physical realm.
The Spirit Realm is so Real & it is where everything visible and Physical comes from.

Our theme scripture tells us clearly that we who are Born Again, have not received the spirit of the World. Instead we have received the Holy Spirit, so that we may know the things God has already given us.
The word "know" also means "to experience" for yourself.

The spirit of the world keeps men in theories, they can read the Scriptures but never work them in, to walk in them. So they exclude themselves, thinking it is for "special people".

Child of God, never settle for theories. Desire to experience God. Take Him at His Word !

Never allow the spirit of the world to talk to you, because it makes you live a substandard life. Instead, you ought to yield yourself to the Holy Spirit daily.

🕎 WALKING IN POWER

Matthew 17:17-20 Jesus said, "What a generation! No sense of God! No focus to your lives! How many times do I have to go over these things? How much longer do I have to put up with this? Bring the boy here." He ordered the afflicting demon out--and it was out, gone. From that moment on the boy was well. When the disciples had Jesus off to themselves, they asked, "Why couldn't we throw it out?" "Because you're not yet taking God seriously," said Jesus... "(MSG)

It takes serious seriousness to Walk in Power.

In our opening verse, we encounter a situation where the people walking very closely with Jesus-His disciples, totally failed to cast out a demon.

And reading further, the disciples, unlike many today, where humble enough to approach Jesus to ask, "Lord why couldn't we throw it out?" - some people don't cast out devils and they don't even mind!

That's how their lives have become a playground for devils. Far be it from you child of God!

Jesus said the reason why they failed to cast the devil out was because they were "... not yet taking God seriously. " Other Bible translations refer to this as "their Unbelief".
Believing & Faith are serious matters.

✍MAJOR NOTE.

Walking in miracles & Supernatural Power is only for people who are serious about it. As long as you are still comfortable living power-lessly, forget about it!
