I have to admit, while I enjoy painting probs I don’t love MAKING them. Which is why for years now my go to has been Dave from . He designs the files, often from scratch and last minute notice from yours truly and time after time provides me strong, amazing looking props that people rave over. My “Dave props” as I call them don’t ever break, and if they ever have any issue he is ready to kick down my door to make it right. From small accessories to large props, he’s honestly the most humble, talented individual and I cannot recommend him enough. He’s also his own worst critic and often doesn’t see how incredible his work is. So today I wanted to share my Xena Sword and Chakram he made for me and encourage everyone to head to his page. Back in December at mcm I did from good omens. For a closet cosplay I think it came together rather well? I had tons of fun with other good omens cosplayers for sure! Thanks to Athena for the scarf and glasses! Photo by the awesome and edit by me.

What’s this. Actual content?! On a whim I went to .co.uk and was delighted to run into .captures who is someone I really enjoy working with! He very kindly did a shoot of my Hanna Solo and frankly made me look cooler then such a poorly made outfit deserved 😂 thanks so much ❤️❤️❤️❤️

So a few people have asked me what I feel on the subject of a certain cosplay competition in a certain country.

And I don’t have the answers. I can’t support the competition but I also cannot shame people who choose to compete, life is hard and the prize could be life changing 🤷🏻‍♀️.

I don’t think there are easy answers to situations like this, but what I’m doing is not giving them a platform. Other then this post I won’t talk about it, share it, join debates. Because the only thing I personally think will harm this event is utter indifference from the community.

Posting about it even in protest still helps spread awareness and give them coverage. Hell I only knew about it from people rage posting about it.

Don’t do the marketing job for them. Don’t post the name, don’t post the location, the details. Don’t use tags, just don’t feed the machine.

If there’s one thing I’m insanely proud of and moved by is being in this. I used to watch the original series on VHS every day when I was about 8. I lost my mind when scholastic did books about obi wan when I was 10. I was there on opening day for the prequels and years later the midnight screening of the sequels. It’s been such a big part of my life for so many years.

So yeah. This was pretty damn cool.

Today if found out that we lost Katie. I didn’t know her long but what struck me was her incredible passion. Her talent, her drive. This was the last time I saw her, sat laughing. ADHD is more then a fad or a trend, it has a devastating effect on someone’s mental health and lack of readily available, easy support and medication has cost us the life of someone so fu***ng young. If you are struggling, please I beg you. Call me, text me, whatever. You are not alone.
If the loss I feel is any indication of the hole she will leave behind for those closest to her, I am so incredibly sorry for your loss. The world is a bit dimmer today. Katie you will be missed, thank you for the time we spent.

Last outing of my cosplay before I retire her with extreme prejudice! Made in 2016 it’s hard to look at the mistakes made in it without cringing. She’ll always have a super special place in my heart though and a bunch of memories!

Had such an amazing time meeting other cosplayers yesterday. Getting the meet the creators too and just be involved in such an outpouring of love for the characters was fantastic. It’s been a while since I made anything new and I was blown away at the reaction to it as well.

Honestly I’ve enjoyed show so much. It’s all the best things I loved from the comic!! After that bonus ep I couldn’t resist a quick closet cosplay of comic Death, it was so weird to be doing my makeup like I was 16 again ahaha. Also I needed…very little help getting this white.

You see people do this now and then, it’s highly disrespectful and also low key super weird. Don’t photoshop yourself onto other peoples photos. Don’t take credit for their work and don’t just block people when they rightfully call you out.

After being in isolation for the last 10 days I finally got to see . Let me tell you the spoiler dodging I have done for this film... It was everything I wanted it reminded me how *redacted* *redacted* was. Anywho I've got no new content and we love a throw back so this was an old contest I did. 2021 has been a bu****it year for me full of stress and tears so I hope 2022 gives me the chances to come back to doing what makes me happy. I hope everyone gets a year of thriving next year. Anyone got any fun resolutions?

Really enjoyed getting out for the first time in ages for this weekend. Unfortunately I tripped over some trash, stacked it and hurt my knee so I quickly got out of cosplay and just hung out instead ahaha. All that effort for like an hour 🤦🏻‍♀️ oh well.
