Big year for the dads and the moose. Mike H’s dad was able to take this dandy bull with his CVA muzzleloader!

Mike M’s father, Reg, was able to fill his archery moose tag back on Oct 1! This bull was extremely aggressive and came running in and scream-grunting! One shot with his PX2 and this bull was down shortly after! Congrats to all involved!

Had a good night a few weeks ago! We took the swift waterfowls out for a sit and got lucky on a few specks!

A few weeks back, my grandfather was able to fill his archery antelope draw tag! At 81 years young he was able to get it done with his crossbow! And yes, he has the appropriate permit to use that weapon. Couldn’t be more proud of him!

Beautiful evenings pass shooting for ducks and geese lately! Can’t wait for some cloudy skies to bring the birds off the fields sooner though! The shotgun has been patiently waiting but hasn’t been skunked yet, at least a goose both trips so far!

The mikes were together in Montana last weekend and we saw this nice group of turkeys! If only we weren’t golfing and we had our shotguns! Tomorrow night will be my first trip out for waterfowl this year! Good luck to everyone on any and all your tags this fall!

Really glad to see our duck hunting spot has water in it again this year! Last year we tried to go but this holding pond was 100% dry and you could walk across it! Glad to see the ducks and geese have returned along with the water!

Out for a little hike the other day testing out my new boots! Perfectly waterproof and hands down the most comfy boots I’ve ever put on. Zero break in time was the best part, out of the box and into the hills with my daughter!

Well we say goodbye to this ice fishing season and hello to a beautiful spring on the way! The Kananaskis Lakes are a beautiful spot to go ice fishing, one of these days I’ll learn to actually catch a fish there!

Mike H and buddies had a great time in Texas with ! One thing for sure is you need a good, solid, well built blade for dealing with the tough hide of a Hog! Our did one heck of a job after the shot which featured broadheads!
