Four dead and two under critical conditions at Bank of South Sudan

Group of unknown gunmen attacked Bank of South Sudan this evening with guns and bomb. As they try to break in two people were shot at the entrance and other four succeeded and entered inside. While trying to locate where the money are kept they were shot dead on spot and other two were critically injured.

National Security and other Security Forces are at the scene at Bank of South Sudan, Juba Town.

There's rumors that those robbers have some of them inside who are also armed.

Security closed the roads near Bank of South Sudan.

Some Nigerians have expressed mixed reactions as 71-year-old South Sudan President, Salva Kiir Mayardit, urinated on himself during a live broadcast.

According to a foreign publication, the president was
commissioning a road on Tuesday, December 13, 2022, when he unknowingly urinated on himself while they were singing the national anthem.

Some are blaming the cameramen for disgracing the president while others insist he did the right thing by exposing how Kiir is not medically fit to lead the country.

The embarrassing moment could not be averted especially as it was a live TV broadcast event.

BREAKING NEWS!

South Sudanese Parties to R-ARCSS have just signed a ROADMAP agreement at the Freedom Hall in Juba which extends the transitional period of R-TGoNU for another 24 months (2 years).

Although the people of South Sudan had hoped to put an end to subsequent transitional governments since 2011 through an election, this latest extension is yet another necessary evil because there are requirements yet to be met through full implementation of R-ARCSS before elections should take place.

So no elections in 2023!

A premature election would be a mess, and an unwise decision and a recipe for more instability rather than a vehicle for a credible democratically elected government.

We should first unify all forces. We should first return IDPs and refugees. We should first conduct a population census in order to determine the number of would-be constituencies to be contested in the elections. We should have parties registered anew. We should have a new body to organize elections. We should have a permanent constitution, etc, etc. The list is long.

Peace first and elections after....

Congratulations to the Parties and the peace-loving people of South Sudan.

More pressure should however be stepped up on all the Parties, or any Party lacking the political will----to implement the R-ARCSS---not only in letter but also in spirit.

May God bless the next 2 years and beyond.

H.E First Vice President and the leader of the opposition group SPLM-IO Party Dr.Riek Machar Teny Dhurgon........................

~ I want to assure you that, we the SPLM-IO, should we lose the elections fairly - we will accept the outcomes and congratulate the winner and we mean exactly that. We also urge our competitors to do the same, to be prepared to accept the results no matter what the outcomes of the election. The only road-block to the election is now the unfairly drawn road-map by the SPLM officials.

DEVELOPING: A charter plane reportedly crashed before taking off at Rubkona Airstrip in Unity State. Multiple social media posts have it that there was no casualty.

It's not yet clear what triggered the incident that occurred this afternoon, and details to follow.

Jimaai Community has condemned the Akobo county commissioner's leadership in the strongest term possible.
Saying Hon:Chuol Tot's leadership lost its meaning.
They term the acts of the leadership as a dictatorship, segregation and destroying the unity of Akobo community in general.
Jimaai community are calling for immediate intervention of state level governance and national level.
