The Frenchie Movement - Documentary
Since the 1800's the Frenche Bulldog has gone thru evolution,
the small Bulldog type gradually became thought of as a breed,and received a name, the Bouledogue Français.
In 1835's were popular with the high society wealthy Americans and they shipped many off to the States.
In 1890’s the fashion and style society ladies had the French Bulldog as a companion dog also known as a lap dog, soon became popular with various levels of society,including our aforementioned ladies of the evening.
In 1912’s the French bulldog also made history aboard of the unforgettable ship The Titanic, Passengers of the Titanic Eva Heart, Robert Daniel and Samuel Goldenberg’s wife Nellaare known as French Bulldog owners.
In 1914’s was also very memorable time in history is the presence of The Frenchie in WWI (World War I). During World War I, a French Bulldog was a cigarette dog delivery, tech runner and also provided emotional support to improve the morale of soldiers.
Numbers appear to have declined steeply around WWI and WWII. But the numbers to recover immediately post-war.
They increase gradually over the next decade, which suggests that there was an actual population crash during the wars.
Then in the 2000’s millennium, the breed is popular as a pet, they were the second-most popular registered dog in the United Kingdom, and the fourth-most popular AKC-registered dog breed in the United States. And now we are in The Frenchie boom, Few dog breeds are as popular in Hollywood as French bulldogs,which can be found trottingalongside stars. The Frenchie has come now to be a very popular and one of a kind breed.
And today the new generation of Frenchies I already making an impact world wide, new genes like merles, isabelas, pink that carries a pigmentation of pink color in the skin and the most popular husky koi frenchie. All of these is just a little piece of the large amount of history for almost 2 centuries on the famous Frenchie Bulldog.
