Have you ever heard the story about LeBron James having a meeting with the CEO of Reebok on his first day out of high school? LeBron was only 18, didn't have a car, so he rode the bus. He was broke, and had no money. When he arrived at Reebok headquarters, he was seated in a conference room. The CEO started writing on a piece of paper, then dropped it on the table in front of LeBron. It was a check for $10 million. LeBron almost took the check. It was life changing but he didn't. He willed himself to get up and he walked out. Why? Because he knew his value. He still had to ride the bus for a few more weeks and deal with all of the people who called him a fool. A couple of months later, he signed with Nike for $90 million. Some of us were destined for something much greater but instead of recognizing our true value, holding out a little longer, overcoming the temptation of doing what everyone else is doing, we caved in and became content. Years later, we still hear that voice in the back of our head, wondering what life would be like if we held out just a little bit longer, bet on ourselves and recognized our true worth! I will always bet on me. Even if i fail, i can always live with the fact that i relied upon my training. BET ON YOURSELF!
