Kwabi Amoah-Forson's mission is to spread peace throughout the world. This episode is our conversation with Kwabi who lives in Tacoma.
Starting by spending Saturdays in Wright Park, Peace Campaigning. Through the dialogs he had Kwabi was able to understand what peace means to people. He then travelled to Europe to continue his conversations about peace.
Kwabi now has @thepeacebus a 1988 Mitsubishi Van. He drives the van around and shares peace and humanitarian aid to people in Tacoma who are in need.
In 2019 Kwabi and other members of the Peace Bus organization travelled to the Mexican border to have a conversation about peace with people along the way and ended up having a conversation with San Diego Border Patrol agents.
Kwabi just announced his largest project yet. In summer 2021 he will be traveling from Tacoma to Washington DC with the goal of meeting President Joe Biden. Along the way he will be giving out books about peace, love and understanding to kids across the country.

Parker Olson founder of Forij joins us to chat about Granola, Functional Mushrooms, Sleeping in a tent for a year. This is a wide ranging episode full of great stories.
After finding an apothecary and taking a class in adaptogens and tonics Parker was introduced to Functional Mushrooms which have become one of the basic components of Forij Granola.
For 18 months Parker tried a different diet each month to see how they would impact his health and wellness. After adding Functional Mushrooms to his diet he has found that his overall health has improved. This experimentation let to the creation of his granola which ultimately became Forij.

Lakyn Bury and Nat Nickel of CobraHawk join us for this episode.
Lakyn is the lead singer and Nat is the drummer for the band. Originally Cobrahawk was a cover band but over time they began to write original music and have recently released their second album. (do we even call them albums anymore?) =)
Cobrahawk is based in Ellensburg and they had a strong following pre-COVID. Like many musical acts playing music live has changed in the last year. We chat about their past performances and their hopes for getting out and playing live again in the near future.
We are planning on having the other members of the band join us for a future episode. Ultimately we will work to have the entire band together for another episode. If you like Pop Punk inspired music you will love Cobrahawk.

Toby Hanson joins the podcast to talk about his musical career as an accordion player. From an early age Toby was studying music.
A family member would play an accordion at family gatherings. Since Toby was not big enough to play an accordion at that time he started in music by playing Piano. After graduation with a bachelors degree in music Toby has had an interesting career as a professional musician.
Performing in multiple Social Dance Music Bands Toby keeps busy. From Swing music, to Polka, even a Cafe Orchestra his piano and accordion talents are in demand in Washington State.
