I thought by 30 I would be married with children…
Haha turning 37 this year and nowhere near either of those milestones. 💔

But, I’m so proud and grateful of/for all the career milestones I’ve achieved. I will keep achieving all those things whilst being an awesome wife and mamma too, I’m a high achiever… fyi!

However, I’ve noticed no one seems to throw a shower to celebrate those career achievements at all!

It’s only if I have a ring on my finger and a baby in my belly that people will gather, throw a party with celebratory praise just for little old me.

Life is definitely not what you expect.

The older one gets the more one questions why things are the way they are.

I’ve had a life time being resilient and strong…. I’ve been abandoned, erased, disregard and abused more times and ways than I can care to count. I’ve never really had the consistent surroundings to ease into my soft side.

My dogs for the last 17ish years have always loved me no matter how hard or soft I am. Huzzah for dogs!!!

Putting on a brand new show is very expensive. Did I say expensive? A small list of expenses are as follows; marketing, promo photo shoot, hair and make up, costume, musician, studio recording fees, venue hire, festival registration etc etc etc … the list goes on.

So I’m sure you can imagine, after loosing (like every artist) 90% of my last 2 years of performance work… it is nearly impossible to fund a new piece on my own.

The similarities between our cultures due to our families being immigrants/migrants. Online dating sure makes more issues than joy. Oh, the roller coaster of being single in your mid 30's.
