We are deeply saddened by the passing of the legendary Bobby Rydell.
The teen idol, film and music star became a dear friend of the podcast last May when he joined us for an interview about playing Hugo Peabody in Bye Bye Birdie during our second season.
It was an honour to have Bobby chat with us in one of our favourite interviews ever. His star power was only matched by his kindness and generosity with his time.
Our thoughts are with his wife, Linda, who made our meeting possible, his children, grandchildren, and the rest of his nearest and dearest.
In an official statement, Mr. Rydell’s estate mentioned his experience with organ donation and his work as an advocate for The Gift of Life. You can find ways to donate in his honour, as well as register to be a donor on their site.
Bobby, we are forever grateful you shared your time with us, and are blowing kisses to wherever you are resting peacefully. 💛
