Happy New Year from Daryl Brown Productions!

2024 was an incredible year of growth and success and 2025 is already shaping up to be even better. I’ve got new projects in the works and fresh ideas brewing.

To kick off the new year I've launched a behind-the-scenes vlog on my YouTube channel when you get some free time come check me out. I'll be sharing exclusive insights into my creative process and giving you a glimpse of what goes on behind the scenes of my photoshoots and video productions.

In 2025 I will definitley be more active on my social media platforms (YouTube, Facebook, TikTok, LinkedIn, and Instagram). Expect more engaging content, updates on our latest projects, and fun behind-the-scenes moments. So whichever platform you frequent the most give me a follow there

And as always, my commitment to going above and beyond my clients' needs and expectations remains unwavering. DBP is dedicated to delivering exceptional results and creating unforgettable experiences.

Happy Thanksgiving!!!! Hope everyone had a Thanksgiving that ignited a sense of wonder and gratitude, surrounded by family and friends who bring joy and love into our lives. I know it’s been awhile since I’ve posted/been active just know I’ve really been busy living my passion and pursuing excellence in my video production business, working closely with a few key clients who share my vision. I’ll circle back soon with an update and BTS content. ✌🏾

Yesterday was a busy day back in South Carolina on the bustling campus of Voorhees University! I live-streamed their chapel service, capturing the essence of this dynamic campus community. But that wasn't all! I also filmed an interview with a familiar face – Lawrenz Ellman-Sanders a young man I've collaborated with before. This time, he's on a quest: running for Mr. Voorhees! He contacted Voorhees's production dept. me for help crafting his campaign video, and while I was there, I led the efforts in lighting, sound, and field producing this part of his journey. Once again, utilizing the modified book lighting setup is quickly becoming a favorite lighting setup. I also deployed a recent GVM 650B Bi-Color light gear acquisition (like two days ago from the date post). I used it for the live stream and the interview. It is still too early for me to give thoughts, but it did what I needed it to do, mainly for the live stream. I almost forgot I also had a quick photo session with some students and their teachers who needed the images turned around quickly. It was a simple two-light setup, one for Key and the other for the background. I also used a 5-n-1 reflector as a fill source. As for the camera, I just used my Blackmagic 6kPro's DNG feature to grab the images; I think they turned out great. Anyway, that's all I have for now. It's been a busy week filming testimonials! I recently wrapped up shooting for the Honors Department at Voorhees. I experimented with a modified book lighting technique that I really like – it created a great look for the videos. The only challenge was some bounce light from the hardwood floor warming up the image a bit more than ideal. But overall, I'm thrilled with the results!

Before that, I tackled my first-ever book lighting setup for a personal injury law client. It was a learning experience, but for a first attempt, I think it came out really well! There's always room for refinement, but hey, sometimes you gotta pull a rabbit out of the hat (laughs).

Of course, it's not all work and no play. Over the weekend, I put on my videographer hat for a fun project with my daughter and her classmates. They had a math project involving baking, conversions, and – you guessed it – a video! I swooped in for the filming part, and needless to say, the girls had a blast. Oh I used a 5ft softbox for the main light and a 4 ft softbox plus RGB Tube light for the OTFs

Whether it's filming for family, friends, or clients, my ultimate goal is to create a fun and positive experience for everyone involved. Here's to capturing more great moments (and hopefully those behind-the-scenes videos!) soon.

Happy Monday! It's been a whirlwind couple of weeks at Daryl Brown Productions, and just wanted to share some updates!

First off we recently wrapped up a project with Bloomberg Originals for their digital stories series. We filmed a talk back/remote style I guess you can call it a virtual interview with a tech analyst, she was great.

I'm also excited to announce that we've secured a six-month retainer with a client in the education sector. For the most part we'll be working closely with their social media and production departments to streamline their social media presence, enhance brand awareness, and beef up their live streaming capabilities. Along with a handful of beneficial services to help round out their production dept. Yes we do more than just point and shoot haha.

Lastly I'm gearing up for a shoot this Friday with a personal injury and truck accident attorney who's undergoing a complete website overhaul. I'll be filming some powerful testimonial videos to showcase their expertise and client satisfaction.

Please stay tuned for more updates on these projects and other ventures that are in the pipeline. OH! I am excited to announce that I have start filming vlogs/content for my YouTube channel(), which I have neglected for far too long. As always, I will share updates here and there. I do not want to just feed the beast for the sake of feeding it, haha! I am passionate about storytelling and helping businesses achieve their goals

Happy Monday!!! This past weekend was a long but fun one. In my previous post, I went North to South Carolina to work with a repeat client. To keep it brief, they were hosting their conference basketball pod and needed my support in several areas: Live streaming(Directing/Producing/Switching), training staff/students to live stream, social media interaction, and photographing portraits of their track team for their sports media day which is happening this week. Both Friday and Saturday were 9 hr plus streaming of basketball, which gave me plenty of time to train and let the trainees get hands-on experience. The headshots were photographed before the games started on Saturday. I'll include a few.

So even though the days were long, not a complaint, in the end, the client was/is happy and that's always the end goal for me making the client happy.

Oh, and if anyone is curious, the portraits were taken with my BMPCC 6KPro, color-corrected/graded in Davinci Resolve, and polished off in Lightroom as they needed a quick turnaround on these. That is all

Happy Monday! DBP has settled into the new year and is already off to a great start. Last week, on January 4th and 5th, I had to travel to three different cities in Georgia. Court TV hired me to set up and film three remote-style interviews, two of which were on the same day. I went from Ball, GA, on the 4th, to Jesup, and then to Statesboro on the 5th. It reminded me of my news photographer days. Despite the hectic schedule, I had fun, and Court TV was pleased with the results. That's what matters the most: a happy client.
