This is the segment I’ve been long awaiting to do and little did I know a person I knew from years ago behind the always smiling, highly energetic, and happy posture was hurting inside just like me. Meet Todd local popular musician, fitness advocate, boxer, sales representative, and great family man. Todd has known me for over twenty years and glad to call him my friend. On This Interview, we did an old fashion Commission style meeting. We had the pleasure to Sitdown with previous members and family members of the life of organized crime representing four out of the five crime families of New York. This Sitdown included Anthony Hootie Russo ex crewmember of the Gambino Crime Family, Larry Mazza ex-hitman and member of the Columbo Crime Family, Anthony Arillotta ex Capo of the Genovese Crime Family and Tore Bonanno the grandson of The Famous Joe Bonanno and great nephew of Joe Profaci along with the son of Bill Bonanno. We decided to step away from the negativity of the mob genre of recent and do a nice piece of entertainment content with facts about the life along with enjoyable content for the audience.

In Episode 4 “Greek Mob-Thology” at The Sober Sitdown, we interview Nick Christophers. Nick has been a published writer for the past twenty years for many entertainment magazines and newspapers. He was the editor of the niche magazine Mob Candy Magazine for seven years. Nick has also appeared in the mob documentary “Mafia Killers w. Colin McLaren” on the cable channel REELZ. His knowledge of the underworld is extensive and not only for his research but because he knew many of these individuals growing up. He has published three books so far: “Destinies” (a fictional mob story) which was published by Austin Macauley a London / New York-based publisher, "Prison Rules" which he co-authored with ex-mobster John Alite, and "Godfathers of the Night, In the Shadow of the Mafia" put out under his company Nick Christophers Ink Corp.

In this episode, we touch on a wide variety of topics including early years comparisons of victims of youth bullying, to nonviolent alternatives, talked about Nick's books, his life, and a unique topic of The Greek mob. Nick growing up to defeat his bullies decided to join a gang but it wasn’t long before he wanted to live that life. He chose to stick with his passion for writing and drawing along with using his experience and high interest in organized crime to become a well-known author and editor of various magazines and books. Anthony "Hootie" Russo stopped by The Sober Sit Down to detail his time as a crew member of the Gambino crime family. After describing his upbringing as a first-generation immigrant growing up in the largest mafia area in the world, Russo admitted that he wanted to be a "street guy" at five years old and started selling drugs before his teen years.

As a teenage drug dealer, Russo became affiliated with the mafia and explained why he chose the Gambinos over the Bonnano family. Russo also described a failed attempt at expanding his co***ne operation and explained why he was never a made man. He went on to detail his prescription pill operation and his time behind bars before describing the aftermath of "The Mafia Takedown," which was the biggest one-day bust in United States history.

In this episode called Street Survivor, Hootie and I talk about the life and all the good, the bad, and the rebound of this life on the streets. It’s not about what you did, it's what you did about it.

Today we speak less of the life and more about reality, current events & struggles along with how to overcome your thoughts and thought processes towards success. We touch on stress, anxiety, and poor past decision-making, creating a stronger presence and money-making strategies. Alright here we go 2 years In the making but the dream has became a reality. I would proudly like to present Episode 1 of The Sober Sitdown w/Scotty Stuch with Ex Columbo Crime Family Member, Larry Mazza “Wisdom of a Wiseguy”. A true inspiration and motivator to me who now I call a friend of mine. His drive to express that it’s never to late to change. I started this journey with a platform to help others struggling. This is not just for those struggling with Sobriety, it’s those who are lost and ready to give up, it’s to instill hope & faith and let others know life does get better everyone’s road is lead on different paths some are smooth & some are bumpy but what counts is getting to the end of that road! My story is a addiction based recovery but this is about “Remarkable Rebounds”. I want to thank my friends and family especially my brother who pushed me into once a topic of daily discussion as a thought but pushed me into not giving up on my thought. Dear Alcohol,

The first day we met, you took me places beyond I could ever imagine, drinking this new drink felt like I was a breathing dragon.

You brought some people into my life, little did I know behind my back you were about to stab me with a knife.

Some old some new these people came in and out, it was my family who was mostly effected and gave them doubt.

For what you did for me over the years I felt so cool, little did I know all I was living is life as a fool.

I really thought I couldn’t live without out you, consuming my life sticking in my head like glue.

I deep down knew that this life couldn’t last forever, how you flipped my switch like a lever.

I pray to God and hope that you were only a phase, as I move on in life knowing you will no longer consume my days.

I look back and realize how much time you stole, all I can do is be thankful you didn’t put me in a hole.

I look forward to my new way of things and what life has in store, it’s everyday not with you I look forward to more.

Everyday I wake up it’s me versus you I’m ready to fight, I know defeating you will help my life be alright.

I would like to proudly announce with my new upcoming podcast “Sober Sitdown w/Scotty Stuch” that I have just received confirmation this weekend that later this month I will be sitting down with a old friend of mine NHL / KHL scrapper and in my opinion pound for pound one of the toughest centers that played the game Darcy Verot. Darcy mentored me in my younger years as a friend and to sharpen my skills to attempt to make it to a advance level as a hockey player. I want to make it clear this is NOT a soberity based story, it’s a remarkable underdog story of a farm boy from Canada who people told was not big enough, wasn’t fast enough, and wouldn’t make it to NHL. Darcy did NOT give up nor feed into others opinions towards the road he traveled. With hard work, sacrifice and dedication he reached his goal to the show from the work ethic he was taught growing up On his farm. Some of you locally may have remembered him coming up the ranks being a part of the local Wilkes Barre Scranton Penguins organization. I was blessed to become and still remain friends with him present day and am honored to have him share his incredible underdog story. Stay tuned
