There was a time when I thought my body was betraying me.

The fatigue, the pain, the symptoms—it all felt like punishment. I pushed through, trying to stay busy, distracting myself, and ignoring the quiet whispers of my soul.

But those whispers grew louder. My body wasn’t betraying me—it was begging me to listen.

I had been working out of alignment with my true self for so long. Saying yes when I meant no, staying in situations that drained me, and living in ways that didn’t honor my heart. All of this left me disconnected, exhausted, and sick.

The truth is, living out of alignment with who we are at our core—our purpose—can manifest as illness. Our bodies hold the truth of who we are, and when we ignore that truth, the body has no choice but to speak louder.

Finally, my body said, "Enough." It wasn’t a punishment—it was an invitation. An invitation to pause, to rest, and to remember who I truly am.

Illness became a sacred teacher. It forced me to stop, to reflect, and to reconnect with my purpose. It taught me that purpose is more than just a dream—it’s a healing force. When we align our lives with what truly matters, we begin to heal.

Now, when my body speaks, I listen. I pay attention to the ways it nudges me toward what feels true and right. I don’t ignore my needs or my purpose anymore.

Because I’ve learned this: when we walk in alignment with our purpose, our bodies and hearts are healed.

So, if your body has been speaking to you—whispering, nudging, or even screaming—pause and ask yourself:

"Am I living in alignment with who I am meant to be?"
Purpose isn’t just a goal—it’s the path to healing.

I always say, when your head & heart disagree your body tells on you, & when they agree, your body thanks you.

Your body is NOT betraying you, it is screaming so you will listen.

It was about creating space—space to feel, to grieve, to hope, and to reconnect with the God who made her whole.

🌿 I used to always say, “my body hates me.”

That was before I understood the profound connection between mind and body. That when I was a traditionally trained Nurse with a medical model mindset.

Before I realized that the pain, tension, and symptoms I felt were my body’s way of holding onto unprocessed trauma. If you were to look into my medical chart from my 30s you would have thought I was a 90 yr old women.

I thought the past was behind me—I’d been through so much, but I believed what I’d heard from certain Christian teachers: “Never look back. The past is in the past.” I followed this advice, thinking I was moving forward, but in reality, I was carrying it all inside me.

Turns out, the body never forgets what the mind ignores. When your head and heart disagree, your body tells on you.

Healing didn’t come from bypassing my emotions or suppressing my story—it came from learning to honor and process them.

That’s why I created Artful Storywork—a way to help myself and others gently bring their stories into the light through creativity, somatic practices, and Christ-Centered Spirituality.

Even the stories and symptoms you have no words for. Some things are too painful for words. They are so buried they are hidden from the spoken language, so we let them speak through color instead.

My journey into wholeness is what I now teach my students at the "School of YOU," I incorporate Science & Soul into my work. I believe we need both.

It’s not about ignoring the past; it’s about transforming it.

It is about reclaiming beauty as your birthright and wholeness as your truth.

At the root of so many challenges is unresolved trauma and nervous system dysregulation.

I have a deep conviction for helping people heal at this foundational level, because your health, wealth, and relationships are all regulated by your nervous system.

Without addressing core wounds, long-term success—whether emotional, physical, or spiritual—remains out of reach.

After 24 years as a Nurse, I returned to school to become a Certified Whole Health Educator, which took me into a deep dive into how the body works holistically. It was eye-opening because I learned what I was never taught in Nursing school—things that are just not part of the traditional medical model.

This journey deepened my understanding of the body’s interconnectedness and solidified my belief that healing cannot be separated from the mind, body, and spirit.

In addition to my education, I have spent the last 10 years studying the healing process and doing the deep inner work myself as a Trauma Thriver.

I am not someone who just woke up one day, read some books, and decided to start an online "school" teaching this stuff.

Honestly, I have been helping people heal and working in the business of ending suffering since I was 16 when I became a Certified Nurses Assistant. You learn a lot when you are at the bedside of humanities hardest moments.

I’ve come to one undeniable conclusion: true healing comes from engaging both the body and mind, as well as both hemispheres of the brain.

Yet, the real reason so many people don’t experience lasting healing is because most approaches focus solely on the mind and logic—the top-down, left-brain approach. They try to teach you to outthink your suffering which will never work.

This is deeply embedded in both our healthcare systems and spiritual care systems (the church).

What’s missing is a way to engage the body up to the mind and the right brain (emotion and creativity) to the left brain (logic and reason).

Healing isn’t just about talking things out or thinking positively.

It’s about integrating science and story, art and anatomy—working from the body up to the mind and from the right side to the left side of the brain.

Through my own journey, I’ve developed my own proprietary evidence-based process called "The Art of Wholeness."

It blends the best scientific information with deeply rooted spiritual practices, all from a Christ-centered perspective.

It’s a comprehensive approach that regulates the nervous system by engaging every part of your being—spirit, mind, and body—because healing involves the whole person.

I truly believe that when we heal the nervous system, we pave the way for a profound transformation—a world where heaven meets earth.

It’s a return to a state of wholeness and oneness with all of creation—a return to Eden as God originally intended it.
