This is the story of a child raised by three generations of serpent handlers, who performs the Signs at age six by using leather belts as substitute snakes at Sunday morning worship services.

After a vile act of abuse leaves him devastated, 𝐂𝐨𝐝𝐲 grows enraged, declares war on God, and eventually "shipwrecks" his great grandfather's church. Estranged from the church group, he then descends into a life of debauchery that would last for years.
