Man Shares New Photos Of Abandoned Baby He Rescued In Enugu

A Law graduate, Benkingsley Nwashara, has taken to his Twitter handle to share photos of a two-year-old girl he rescued after she was abandoned by her mentally-ill mother in Agabani town, Nkanu West Local Government Area, Enugu State.

He shared photos he took of the child when he rescued her, as well as a recent photo of the two of them on Sunday.

Nwashara in an interview with Saturday PUNCH had said that he saw the child sitting helplessly on the street on June 15, while returning from a late-night party with some friends, and that when he asked about the child, he was told that she belonged to a mentally-ill woman who lived in the area and had been there for about days without any help.

Sharing the latest update about the child's welfare, he captioned the pictures, "How it was vs How it's going. You can't tell me that God is not faithful."

In another post, he shared some pictures of the child on Monday and said, “She went from being an abandoned child diagnosed with kwashiorkor to being plump and with a home and family. God is the greatest.”

Nigerian singer, Temilade Openiyi, popularly known as Tems, has told her followers that she is not their christian saviour, neither is she trying to uphold their beliefs about God.

The singer made this known via her Twitter page on Tuesday.

Tems also said she is who she is and not trying to impress anyone.

She wrote, “I don’t know who needs to hear this, but I am not your Christian saviour. I didn’t come here to uphold your beliefs about God.

“I will not fit into this box you try to put me in. I won’t satisfy you in that area. Please find the person that will or ask yourself why you care.

“I don’t brag because I’m not playing the same game. I don’t need to brag. I am who I am, whether you know it or not. It is the house that is built on the solid rock that will withstand the storm. I’m trying to impress myself, not you.”

Country Singer Jake Flint Dies Hours After Wedding

Country singer, Jake Flint, has died over the weekend, just hours after marrying his fiancée, Brenda.

The cause of his death is still unknown.

Jake's manager, Brenda Cline, confirmed the news and shared a picture she took with the late singer on her page on Monday.

She wrote, “With a broken heart and in deep grief I must announce that Jake Flint has tragically passed away. I’ve tried several times today to make a post, but you can’t comment on what you can’t process. The photo below is when Jake and I excitedly signed our artist management contract.

“That was the beginning of a wonderful friendship and partnership. Jake was even more than that to me, I loved him much like a son. The funniest, most hilarious, hardest working, dedicated artist I have ever worked with in my career. We were just about to embark on some business together after he and Brenda got married- which was yesterday. Yes-yesterday. Jake has a million friends and I’m not sure how everyone will cope with this tragic loss.

“We need prayers- it’s all so surreal. Please please pray for his new wife Brenda, Jake’s precious mother, his sister and the rest of his family and friends.”

Flint died aged 37.

Romantic Man Dives Into Ocean to Rescue Engagement Ring

A Florida man, Scott Clyne, dived into the ocean after an engagement ring that fell in as he made to propose to his girlfriend.

Clyne of Sarasota, Florida in the United States of America shared the video on his Facebook earlier in November but it's now going viral on social media.

Before the ring dropped into the ocean, Clyne and his fiancee, Suzie Tucker, held out their arms while standing at the front of a boat with the sunset serving as their backdrop. Moments later, the ring fell into the water.

Thankfully, Clyne was able to save the ring from being swallowed up by the water, got back on the boat and proposed to his lover.

This mummy, called La Doncella or The Maiden, is that of a teenage girl who d.ied more than 500 years ago in a ritual sacrifice in the Andes Mountains.

The girl and two other children were left on a mountaintop to succumb to the cold as offerings to the gods, according to the archaeologists who found the mummified remains in Argentina in 1999.

La Doncella was found dressed in a ceremonial tunic and adorned with a headpiece, tokens of her new status as a messenger to the heavens. The girl had also drunk corn liquor, likely to put her to sleep, scientists say, and her mouth still held fragments of coca leaves, which the Inca chewed to lessen the effects of altitude sickness.
Seen as one of the best preserved mummies to ever be found,blood in her body and internal organs still intact.

Fans Mourn, Pray As Singer Davido's Son Dies

The news of the death of singer, Davido's first son, Ifeanyi, has left some of his fans in mourning.

Ifeanyi was said to have drowned in a swimming pool at the singer's residence in the Banana Island area of Lagos State.

While some Twitter users have expressed their condolences, others hang on to hope that the news is false.

A tweep, Peace Agina, expressed her pain saying, “The demise of Davido and Chioma's son is heartbreaking. No parent should lose their child. This is really sad. I pray God comforts them.”

Another tweep, Mr. Walter said, “The death of a child remains mysterious, unjust & questionable to his/her creator. My condolences to Davido, his fiancée, Chioma. May God grant them the fortitude to bear this loss. The global entertainment industry is traumatised by this sad occurrence.”

A tweep, Mr Sam, shared his faith that Ifeanyi is still alive and said, “Till Davido tweets about it, Ifeanyichukwu lives. I want all parents to join me & say! no matter how old I am, I shall never witness the death of my children. Amen.”
