A Ukrainian military unit reproduced the Oscar-winning "Naatu Naatu" song from the Indian Telugu-language "RRR" film, with new lyrics directed towards their Russian adversaries, in the hope that the satire may persuade India to recognise the nation's predicament.

Last month, a military unit from Mykolaiv, a southern city now under Russian occupation, made a spoof of the song, making a video that depicts Ukrainian soldiers dancing and attempting to drop drone strikes into an open barrel before dropping them on what look to be Russian military vehicles.

The spoof referred to the cinematic version of the song, which was shot outside the Kyiv presidential palace prior to the outbreak of the war. At this year's Academy Awards in March, the music was named best original song.

On July 14, Prime Minister Narendra Modi was the honored guest at France's Bastille Day celebrations. The Indian armed services will march alongside their French counterparts in the parade, according to the ministry of external affairs (MEA). France's President Emmanuel Macron expressed excitement in a tweet in both French and Hindi, saying he would be delighted to welcome Modi as the guest of honor in Paris.

In the morning, the Prime Minister arrived on the Champs-Élysées, where he was greeted by French First Lady Brigitte Macron and French Prime Minister Elizabeth Borne.
