Patek // Friday — Komiks Wong Rare — New Venue.
Málokdo vi, ze nejvíc času straví organizátor Warehouse parties hledáním nových míst. Před 8 lety, když jsme začali tyhle akce dělat jsme našli za rok klidně 6 nových mist a všechno bylo total easy.
V současnosti 2-3 dny v týdnu jezdíme s Michalem po lokacích, coz mne mega baví, protože poznávas místa, ktery mají hodne za sebou a z kazdyho citis mega atmosferu.
Mam nejvetsi radost, ze se nakonec po dlouhy dobe ukecavani a hledani podarilo najit misto, ktery je spolecne s Barrandov Terasama a Pragovka - Strojirny nej misto, kde se Komiks kdy odehral. Je to misto plny zakouti a schovanych mistnosti a kousek od centra. Tady davam nekolik fotek, ktery jsme udelali s Tom Trnka. Tak se mega tesim na patek a hod koment jestli si poznal lokaci. Vidime se v patek.

Tonight Bike Jesus!
The moment I met the whole Bike Jesus crew I knew that this was the place where I wanted to do regular events.
First of all, which I consider super important - Bike is taken care of by a great crew with Andrej Kontra and their approach fascinates me.
I can feel the passion there, when you just stomp into it and breathe in that place.
At my age, people are mostly looking for stability, peace and want to live off what they have built so far. Unfortunately, that fell apart for me, but the more I desire and am motivated to stomp into it and have a dope party, surrounded by those young people!
Second - Bike Jesus has charm both outside and inside. This year I took part in organizing five events there and it was always packed with hungry fresh people who made a great party.
Third - I invited great artists Raketa 95, Pink Concrete and SJ Yellow. Musically, expect fresh music, variety and, of course, a real party!

Potkali jsme se s par artists a jeden z nich byl Raphael Kosmos😍👌.
Byl jsem zrovna v rozpuku povrchnosti, Egotripu a dal jsem na meetingu hodinovej monolog a zlehonka se kroupnul😁.
Vsechny lidi, ktery byli na meetingu jsem uz znal delsi dobu, jen Raphael jsem videl prvne a rikal si TVL co je to za bejcka a hned jsem vedel, ze s nim v zivote zaziju hodne.
Mesic nato jsme usporadali prvni Warehouse party v nej prostoru na Malostransky KOKPIT!
Full house a pro mne vec co mne zmenila zivot a nakopla k tomu delat Komiks!
Jelikoz jsme byli z Graffiti prostredi, tak jsme v lete hned udelali open air na Barandove s Kosmos, dMitri, Exhazsted Modern, Schwa atd a uz tam jsme se s Kosmirem mega zpratelili ( jak rikame do plnejch🙌😃)
Neslo to skoncit jinak nez spolecnym bydlenim, kde si myslim, ze vetsi dekadenci nezazil ani na systemackej akcich, kde radil od roku 2002!!!

Two stages inside plus open air stage outdoor ⚡️
It has been exactly 7 years since we visited abandoned Barrandov Pool (𝓲) and started thinking about an open air event. But we never managed to put it on. Few months ago we were on a cross road. Continue the Komiks journey or call it a day? Komiks with David Vunk gave us the much needed push to keep going, reinvent a few things and look forward for the next adventures. When we realised that there might be the very last chance to do something at the legendary Barrandov Pool we thought that it would be silly not to jump on it.

(𝓲) Barrandov terraces and surrounding pool was founded in 1929. The idea for such place was inspired by the Cliff House in San Francisco. Architect Max Urban did a great job and he managed to complete the construction within only 6 months. This place shortly became sought after by the First Republic's politicians, Czechoslovak movie stars, businessman, bourgeoisie and also dancers and musicians. During second world war was the venue unfortunately mainly used by the n**i military leaders, their friends and prostitutes. Then during communism by communist leaders and since early 90ties it started felling into disrepair. The place is now surrounded by highways, train tracks and bike trails.
New development project is taking over and the genius loci will be probably lost forever. Let's give it the last farewell.

When organizing warehouse raves it’s always hard to say goodbye to each place you found and created a top venue spot from.
But there is one unique place that won a special spot in our hearts and that’s Strojírna in the Pragovka complex. In the past, we organized 3 fully sold-out events there. One of them was Komiks weekender festival with Detroit legend Robert Hood, who brought his family project Floorplan.
Next day, the outdoor party with Fort Romeau gave us a huge amount of energy and was essential to us. Below is a bizarre video where we paint and saddle a legendary VS3 truck which was produced during the communist era right in the hall where Komiks took place later on!

We are so stoked to present to you our first foreign name - DJ Fett Burger 🍔 Also known as DJ Dog, he is a talented Norwegian DJ, producer, and label manager.
He is well-known around the block for a couple of reasons. Be it his already-classic extended DJ sets on Dekmantel, experimental releases, or multiple creative music labels he is running - Digitalised Planet B, S*x Tags UFO, or Mongo Fett among those.
Musically speaking, there are no set boundaries in what he does behind the decks, eclecticism and dance floor experimentalism is the key here. Sprinkle some “fett” basslines and thick kicks on top of that and you have a perfect mix for a late-night snack.

From the very beginning, we try to bring people, music genres, and tasty design together. Detente2020 project is a pinnacle of it and its release party was supposed to be the best night ever.
On the other hand, for the last 14 months, our founder Fatty M has been struck by health-related issues. This resulted in long unfortunate hiatus and many setbacks.
But as many of you may guess, Milan never really slowed down. Everyone who knows him also knows his drive and passion for the three key parts of his life - music, parties, and his beloved daughter. Nothing could ever deny that.
Although his health doesn't really get better, Milan decided now is the time to throw the night we've all been waiting for so long.
And as he says "the best gift for me would be to meet all of you - fans, friends, DJs, and family once again and get it through the night".
So, let's make it happen! For him, for us, and for you, the night to remember.
