Practice the “cross-eyed” method of viewing a stereo pair.

The cross-eyed method can be used on stereoscopic pictures where the left image is on the right side and vice versa. It requires no 3D glasses or gear, only the desire to learn. This is one way to do it:
​
Eat the mushroom, open your mind.
Look at what looks like two identical images.
Cross your eyes. A third image should appear in the middle. If you see 4 images, you'll have to relax your eyes and cross them less.
Focus on that middle image until it pops out in 3D.

Laika Studios films real objects in real light in 3D, one frame at a time. It therefore does not meet the PuppetVid3D® definition of being shot in real time. However, is worth screening by 3D puppeteers for the awesome work evidenced here.

“Diableries,” a.k.a. “One Night in Hell” is a 3D stop-action animated short film produced by Sir Brian May from his collection of a set of Victorian stereo photo cards. He appears in the wrap-around segments and created the soundtrack. It is available as a bonus feature on the 3D Blu-ray edition of “The Mask.”
