I hope you’ve enjoyed listening to these Thankful Notes from 2024. I am so thankful for each and every guest that has been willing to be interviewed. And I’m especially thankful for each of you that has taken time to listen to A Quilter’s Life podcast.

Last week I shared Jenifer Gaston’s episode. In her episode, she shared that her rug hooking lead her into quilting. She has continued to make rugs which I shared some pictures of on her episode page. I also took a short video of her studio and a little demonstration of her showing me how rug hooking worked. So, I wanted to share the video I put together of those two things.

Last year I found it interesting when a couple of people were surprised that quilt shops sold supplies for quilting when they just wanted to buy a quilt. So this year when my son was excited to take me to an Amish quilt shop near where they live, I was planning to buy some yardage. Now it was my turn to be surprised at Byler’s Quilt Shop near New Wilmington, PA, to find they only sold finished quilts and other Amish made products. I picked up the cute Amish Country magnet instead. The girl working the counter gave me permission to video the shop and appreciated it when I told her that I’d respect her by not filming her. If you find yourself in western Pennsylvania near New Wilmington you’ll want to visit this shop!
