🇹🇿 Bantu FM would like to join the people of Tanzania in mourning the death of President John Magufuli whose death was announced yesterday on Wednesday 17 March. The controversial leader was well known for his stance against corruption in an attempt to improve the standard of living for all Tanzanians. The 61 year old president, popularly know as the BULLDOZER, died from heart complications at Mzena Hospital in Dar es Salaam, the capital of Tanzania. 14 Days of national mourning have been declared by the government. May his soul rest in eternal peace. 🙏🏾🇹🇿

Such a sad day today as we honor the passing of an icon; Bunny Wailer one of the reggae's most important voices. Bunny Wailer (Neville O'Riley Livingston OM) died yesterday on 2 March 2021 at the age of 73.

The musician from Kingston, Jamaica was a founding member of the Wailers and he was Bob Marley's childhood friend.

He was a legendary singer, songwriter and a three-time Grammy award winner who was an original member of the reggae group The Wailers. Other members were and

🌍 Bantu FM would like to pay tribute to Malcolm X, an African American Muslim minister and human rights activist who was a popular figure during the civil rights movement. He is best known for his time spent as a vocal spokesman for the Nation of Islam. Malcolm X rose to prominence as a black nationalist leader who advocated vociferously for civil rights.

On February 21, 1965, Malcolm X a revolutionary Muslim black leader, was killed by assassins' bullets while addressing the Organization of Afro-American Unity at the in New York City, he was assassinated by three gunmen.

He once said "Do Your Best Work" and he surely did his best for the Black race ✊🏾✊🏾 Malcolm X will forever be remembered as he was a passionate and gifted orator.

It is with great sadness that we announce that the Zimbabwean dancehall star🇿🇼🇿🇼 has died. Born Soul Musaka, the musician died on Tuesday evening at Mbuya Dorcas Hospital in the Zimbabwean capital, Harare. He was 31.

He was pronounced dead upon arriving at the hospital where he was taken by his friends and according to the doctor's report he had no pulse upon admission and his sugar was high.

He travelled all musical thorny paths , even more he conquered in his distinct way and we shall forever cherish the memories. Bantu FM🌍 would like to pass our condolences to the FANS, family, friends and associates of Zimdancehall artist Soul Jah Love.

Since her Nollywood film debut in 1995, Omotola has appeared in over 300 films including the most watched film Blood sisters.

Beyond her show business accomplishments, she is also applauded for her remarkable humanitarian efforts. Following the referendum, President Pierre Buyoya declared February 5th as National Unity Day in an attempt to reconcile the warring ethnic groups of the Tutsi and the Hutu.

One week ago the world lost one of its brightest stars, Ms Cicely Tyson, who died at the age of 96. 🌍 Bantu FM would like to extend our condolences to the friends, family, fans and associates of Cicely Tyson who died on the 28th of January 2021.

Having appeared in minor film and television roles early in her career, Tyson garnered widespread attention and critical acclaim for her performance as Rebecca Morgan in Sounder (1972); she was nominated for both the Academy Award and Golden Globe Award for Best Actress for her work in the film. In addition to her screen career, Tyson appeared in various theater productions. In her long and extraordinary career, Cicely Tyson has not only succeeded as an actor, she has shaped the course of history. She had released her biography, "JUST AS I AM", shortly before her death. It's no surprise that her memoir hit No.1 soon after icon’s Death. It also went Out Of Stock On Amazon. The evidence of a life lived to the last breath.

🌍Bantu FM would like to extend our condolences to the friends, family and associates of South African Musician Sibongile Khumalo. It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Dr Sibongile Khumalo our iconic, world-celebrated South African singer 🇿🇦,affectionately known as Ma’Mngoma who was born on the 24th day of September 1957 and died on the 28th of January 2021. According to a statement released by Sibongile's family she "succumbed to stroke related complications" following a "lengthy period of illness".

She was known for her love of traditional South African music🇿🇦, jazz, and opera, Sibongile thrilled audiences from Roodepoort to the Royal Albert Hall in London.

🌍Bantu FM would like to pay tribute, on this the two year death anniversary of Zimbabwe🇿🇼 and Africa's legendary musician, Oliver 'Tuku' Mtukudzi's death. Tuku transitioned on the 23rd of January 2019 at age of 66.

He was Known around the world for his own heated brand of Afro-jazz that was locally known as Tuku Music, a fine brand of jiti, marimba and afro-pop.The news of his death caused pain among the people who were betrothed to the type of music he sang and it still evoke feelings of great loss to some.

His music is remembered for its soul touching and character changing nature that came as a source of inspiration and motivation throughout the globe. Surely, he was a father to many and will always be remembered for his Altruistic works on earth. He once said "Rufu ndimadzongonyodze" (Death is a Wringer) Surely thats a fact .... Although he has departed from this earth, Tuku lives on through his music and legendary works.

🌍 Bantu FM would like to extend our condolences to the friends, family and associates of legendary South African jazz musician Jonas Gwangwa who passed away on Saturday 23 January 2021 due to cardiac complications. Gwangwa’s death fell on the anniversary of the deaths of his friends and fellow African music giants Hugh Masekela and Zimbabwean musician Oliver Mtukudzi, who died in 2018 and 2019 respectively.

Gwangwa was born on the 19th of October 1937 and died at 83 years. And for more than 40 years, the renowned trombonist contributed to the music industry in various facets, including songwriting, composing and producing. He was also an activist and Revolutionary against the Apatheid regime in Azania / South Africa ✊🏾🇿🇦✊🏾🌍

May this illustrious Maestro rest in peace🙏 👑👑
