Journeyman here. I want to talk to y'all. Something that we don't talk about much in the riding world is how many injuries we take on throughout our careers. Us cowboys seldom go to the hospital for anything other than a bull jumping on our chest. We enjoy being the definition of grit and toughness. Even so, I've sustained 8 surgeries over my career, and by United States Government standards am currently "disabled." It's taken it's toll. Its why many of us retire before our mid thirties. But screw the labels. We do it because we love it. For the thrill. Because those 8 seconds are worth it to us, as we walk (or scamper) out of that arena with our heads held high knowing that we achieved the goal we set out to make a reality when we were kids.

All dreams come with their challenges, and every rose has it's thorn. Whatever your Journey is, continue onward.

Disaster struck this week during a bull riding event we were invited to. Our boy here took a direct stomp to the chest, and we had to get him to the hospital. Years ago I had the idea to create one of the most unique groups of bucking bulls the sport has ever seen. It all started with my big Chianina bull Mario, and has led to all of the young bulls you see us bucking over on Tik Tok on Wednesday nights. This work keeps your hands dirty, but it's certainly satisfying to see your brainchild literally buck out of the chute.

To be successful in anything you do, you need consistency. You need to form good habits. Whether that be ranching, riding, or your day to day passions. One of my morning habits is meditating out on the porch with a good cup of coffee to get a grasp on what the day holds. Hang in there bucko.

Today was a milestone marker, as we prepare to go into full production of Season 1 for Friday Night Fever: Bull Riding! Otherwise, back to the ranch for the usual day of taking care of the farm.
