Muchas gracias to for featuring us in their recent blog post “10 Backpacking, Thru-Hiking & Outdoorsy Podcasts Worth a Listen”!!

As a small Latina-run podcast, it means the world to be highlighted on the list.

Latinas Who Adventure is literally a 2-person show. We handle everything from episode planning, scripting, interviewing, to editing, logistics and promo ourselves in our spare time.

We are passionate about the content we bring our audience, and want to make sure that we always dedicate the attention each episode deserves.

This Spring, the two of us had to take a longer hiatus from podcasting due to life events that have demanded our full attention.

Whether you’ve stuck with us from the beginning, or you’re a new listener, we appreciate you and are so happy you’ve decided to join us

We hope to be able to resume Season 2 soon, and share updates on what’s been going on and what’s next.

Until then, happy adventuring!

It’s been quiet around here…

We’ve been taking a mid-season break since the start of Jan.

Between life events, personal travel, and big work-work deadlines, our co-hosts continue to have to put podcasting on hold.

We hope to get back into the swing of things later this month to bring you the rest of season 2 in late Feb.

So stay tuned!

In the meantime, don’t forget that you can catch up on the first three episodes of season 2 and all of season 1 on your favorite podcast app.

We’ll be back soon.

We hope your 2022 has been going well so far!

🎙NEW EPISODE!

With the end of the year approaching, we know folks are beginning to plan outdoor adventures in the coming year. As we do, we wanted to cover a topic that we know is top of mind for many as they plan trips, but is so rarely talked about.

This episode is for all you adventurers out there who get a regular visit from Aunt Flo🩸

That’s right, we’re talking periods!

In this episode, we invite family nurse practitioner and women’s health expert Buket Tinoco from to answer some of our most common and important questions as women outdoor adventurers:

How do you stay clean down there on a multi-day trip?
Should you plan your trip around your period?
What are some healthy ways to relieve period cramps?
Is s*x in the outdoors safe?

And many more!

Buket also shares facts about the science behind women’s health, and her approach to becoming in sync with your cycle and living a more balanced life.

🎧Tune in!

We highly recommend this episode and following Buket if you’ve ever had any questions or concerns about women’s health in the outdoors.

FYI this episode does contain some explicit themes/language. Listener discretion is advised.

As always, huge thanks to for our theme!

📣Announcement 📣
Every season we will undergo a new logo and color change that reflects our mood and emotions for that series.

For Season 2, purple, blue, and orange called to our attention and emotions the most.

The blue reminds us of the ocean, one of our favorite ways to recreate outdoors, spending time on the beach or near a body of water. Also blue is relaxing, calming, peaceful, and also depressive.

Purple represents: imagination, supernatural, spirituality, creativity, wisdom, compassion, and emotional.

Orange represents:
Optimism, adventure, creativity, warmth, and spontaneity. It offers emotional endurance and it can ignite motivation during dark times.

These are all the emotions we felt as we created the topics to discuss for each episode.

We’re excited to mirror our conversations and takeaways with our the design look and feel for every season.

And once again, check out the most recent episode drop, which is Car Camping 101. In two weeks we will drop an episode regarding Hygiene in the Outdoors and we will talk with Nurse Buket. Stay tuned for that educational and light hearted episode.
