Have you ever visited Andreas Canyon? In our latest article, Tribal Ranger Wade Stevenson reveals how these ancient Cahuilla trails, crafted over millennia, connect us to a vibrant history. Steve Poltz: Proof that we are made of infinite stardust, and evidence of just how uniquely brilliantly it can manifest itself, when we set it free.

I sure had a blast today at Joshua Tree Music Festival. The desert vibes are very strong here. My show was packed with groovy homo sapiens. The best kinda folks we know. The dust was minimal and the breeze was warm. The desert was so lovely that it was like a dessert. A treat on top of a treat in a hall of mirrors.

I would recommend this festival to everyone. There’s a love ricochet that comes from a slingshot in the sky. Cupid angels are everywhere and they’re shooting arrows through the souls of the ghosts that were here long before us. You can feel the energy.

I saw a lizard on an old tire. The lizard’s tail looked like it’d been chopped off and it was now growing back. I also saw some beautiful dead flowers. Skeletons of flowers that had outlived their prime. But these dead flowers were so dead that they WERE alive. Dead is the new alive. 😁 I want to crush these flowers (with love) in an old hardcover book. Especially a really thick book like a 1956 copy of The Joy Of Cooking.

Don’t you think it’s just wonderful when you find an old copy of LIFE Magazine and the pages are yellowed? And you smell the pages and they bring back memories? Don’t ya just love it? Chickaboom Chickaboom boom boom.

Yeah. Some days are gravy. This day has been the gravy-est of gravies.

Photo of me and Barnett English (the man who started Joshua Tree Music Festival). It’s his freakin festival! He’s created a kookoo community. He’s a magician.
