Johann Wolfgang von Goethe is one of the greatest and most important writers in the German literature from the late 1700s. He was born, of course, in Germany, in Frankfurt am Main. Goethe is until today very present in the German school books. His father always wanted him to become a lawyer in the first place so he made his way first through this carrier in Leipzig, fortunately he got bored after 28 processes he went through. In 1772 he went to the reichskammergericht in Wetzlar and met there his first love, Charlotte, unfortunately Charlotte was already taken and he put all his frustration and pain into his well known book "Die Leiden des Jungen Werther" - "The Sorrows of Young Werther" that got very popular in 1774.
