Nakapagtala ng panibagong 10 na kaso ng covid-19 ang anim na munisipalidad sa lalawigan ng Isabela ngayong araw.

Base sa datos ng Regional Epidemiology Surveillance Unit, nakapagtala ng panibagong tatlo na kaso ang Burgos, tigdalawa sa Ramon at San Mateo habang tig-isa naman ang San Agustin, Sta. Maria at Tumauini.

Dahil dito ay umakyat na sa 60 ang kabuoang aktibong kaso ng Covid19 sa lalawigan.

Kaugnay dito, 17 bayan ang nananatiling may aktibong kaso habang 20 naman ang zero case na.

Sa ngayon nasa 72,209 na ang total cumulative cases, 69.814 total recoveries at 2,325 total deaths ang probinsya.

PBBM to sign SIM Card Registration Act

President Ferdinand "B**gbong" Marcos Jr. will sign into law on Monday, October 10, the SIM Card Registration Act, which aims to promote accountability in the use of SIM cards and aid law enforcers to track perpetrators of crimes committed through phones.

Under the measure, all public telecommunications entities (PTE) or direct sellers shall require the SIM card user to present a valid identification document with a photo.

Any information in the SIM card registration shall be treated as confidential unless the subscriber authorizes access to his information.

The law also directs telco firms to disclose the full name and address contained in the SIM card registration upon a duly issued subpoena or order of a court.

Law enforcement agencies which conduct probes on purported crimes committed through phones may also submit a written request to telco firms to disclose the details of the SIM card holder.

President Marcos' decision to approve the measure will significantly boost government initiatives against scams committed through text and online messages, which have become more prevalent this year.

Globe Telecom Inc. and Smart Communications Inc., the country’s two biggest telcos, previously expressed support for SIM card registration and vowed to assist the government in deterring crimes committed electronically.

“We believe that once signed into law, SIM registration will take us a step ahead of fraudsters and help achieve our shared goal of eradicating scam and spam messaging,” Globe Group general counsel Froilan Castelo said in a recent statement.

Smart vice president and head of regulatory affairs Roy Ibay also said his company was looking at key features of the bill ratified by the House and the Senate, and would be prepared to share his company’s “knowledge of global best practices.”

The law is the consolidation of the bills approved by the House of Representatives and the Senate.

The House version of the bill was sponsored by Speaker Martin Romualdez with presidential son Rep. Ferdinand Alexander "Sandro" Marcos and Tingog party- list Representatives Yedda Marie Romualdez and Jude Acidre as co-authors (House Bill No. 14).

In the Senate, the measure was sponsored by Sens. Juan Miguel Zubiri, Grace Poe, Win Gatchalian, Joel Villanueva, Ronald Dela Rosa, Joseph Victor Ejercito, Jinggoy Ejercito, Cynthia Villar, Nancy Binay, Christopher Lawrence Go, Francis Tolentino, Imee Marcos, Ramon B**g Revilla Jr., and Pia Cayetano (Senate Bill No. 1310).

The ceremonial signing to be held at the Ceremonial Hall in Malacañang will be attended by Speaker Romualdez, Majority Floor Leader Rep. Manuel Jose M. Dalipe, Congressmen Marcos, Romualdez, and Acidre, and Reps. Tobias Tiangco, Cheeno Miguel Almario, Roman T. Romulo, and Rex Gatchalian.

Officials from the Presidential Legislative Liaison Office headed by Mark Llandro Mendoza will also attend the ceremony.

Also present are Reginald Velasco and David Robert Amorin, Secretary General and Deputy Secretary General of the House of Representatives, respectively.

They will be accompanied by Joven Marcelang, OIC-Director of the Lower Chamber.

Target na mabigyan ng educational cash assistance ang nasa 4,112 na applicants sa lalawigan ng Isabela.

Ayon sa DSWD Regional Field Office 2, pupuntahan ng kanilang social workers sa September 17, 2022 ang bayan ng San Mariano, Gamu, Benito Soliven, Dinapigue, San Isidro, San Agustin, Jones at City of Ilagan.

Mula sa naturang mga bayan pinakamaraming target beneficiaries ang City of Ilagan at San Mariano na mayroong tig-1,288 beneficiaries.

Uunahin pa rin umano ang mga nagpasa ng requirements noong Agosto-20 at mga unang nakapag-online register.

Paliwanag pa rin ng ahensya na ang mga nakatanggap ng text message ay hindi nangangahulugang makakakuha na ng cash grant kundi daraan pa ang mga ito sa balidasyon ng kanilang mga social workers.

Kinumpirma ng Philippine Space Agency ang maaaring pagbagsak ng debris ng Long March 7A rocket na ni-launch sa Wenchang Space Launch Center, Hainan Island sa Chine noong September 13, 2022.

Ayon sa abiso ng PhilSA at Notice to Airmen ay posibleng bumagsak ang debris ng naturang Chinese rocket sa dalawang drop zone kung saan ang drop zon 1 ay 71 kilometers sa Burgos, Ilocos Norte habang ang drop zone 2 naman ay 52 kilometers sa Sta. Ana, Cagayan.

Kaugnay dito, bahgaman malabong bumagsak ang rocket debris sa kabahayan o land features ay magiging delikado pa rin ito sa mga fishing boats, barko at iba pang vessels na lalayag sa drop zones.

Dahil dito ay nakikipag-ugnayan na ang Cagayan PDRRMO sa National Agencies upang malaman kung anong klase ng debris, saang bahagi at kung kailan ito babagsak sa Sta. Ana.

Sa kasalukuyan ay nagpapatuloy pa rin umano ang pagpapalaot ng mga mangingisda sa drop zones at pinag-iingat pa rin ang mga residente dito.

Umabot ng 118 na pulis ang nasibak sa pwesto mula noong 2016 sa Lambak ng Cagayan bilang bahagi ng isinagawang Internal Cleansing program.

Ayon sa Police Regional Office 2, ang nasibak na mga pulis ay natanggalan din ng benepisyo mula sa gobyerno.

Inihayag ni PMAJ Melchor Aggabao, Chief ng Discipline Law and Order Section, 44 sa mga natanggal ay mula sa regional headquarters, 19 sa Cagayan PPO, 12 sa Isabela PPO, 10 sa Santiago City Police Office, tig-dalawa sa Nueva Vizcaya at Quirino PPO at isa naman sa Batanes PPO.

Karamihan umano sa natanggal ay napatunayang guilty sa Grave Misconduct and Grave Neglect of Duty o Absent Without Official Leave (AWOL), mayroon ding nasibak dahil sa Conduct Unbecoming of an Officer at nasangkot sa iligal na droga.

Ayon kay Regional Director PBGEN Steve Ludan na ang pagtanggal sa mga tiwaling pulis ay nagsimula noong administrasyon ni dating Pangulong Rodrigo Duterte.

Patunay lamang umano ito na seryoso ang PNP na linisin ang kanilang hanay at hindi kinukunsinti ang mga pulis na sangkot sa iligal na aktibidad.

Taglay nito ang lakas ng hangin na aabot sa 55 km/h malapit sa sentro at pagbugso na 70 km/h habang kumikilos patungong west southwestward sa bilis na 15 km/h.

Iloilo nakapagtala ng unang kaso ng Monkeypox

Nakapagtala ng pinakaunang kaso ng monkeypox ang Iloilo City batay sa kumpirmasyon ni Mayor Jerry Trenas.

Ayon sa alkalde, ang pasyente ay kasalukuyang naka-isolate sa isang ospital sa kanilang lungsod.

Trabahante sa isang fast food chain ang pasyente na nakapagtrabaho pa noong July 16, 2022.

Samantala, nakaisolate din ang isang nurse na naka-close contact nito habang may anim pa na kamag-anak nito sa Iloilo province ang nakahalubilo na mahigpit ding minomonitor.

Sa ngayon nagpalatukoy ang pagsasagawa ng contact tracing ng Iloilo City Epidemiology and Surveillance Unit (CESO) kasama ng Iloilo Public Employment Service Office (PESO) sa mga naka-close contact ng pinakaunang pasyente ng Monkeypox sa Iloilo.
