As followers of Christ, we are called to an attitude of humble service in all we do. The Bible instructs us in Philippians 2:3-4, "Do nothing out of selfish ambition or conceit, but in humility consider others as more important than yourselves. Everyone should look not to his own interests, but rather to the interests of others."

When we approach tasks and responsibilities with a spirit of service, putting others before ourselves, we reflect the character of our Savior who "did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many" (Matthew 20:28).

The mindset of contributing more than we receive is embodied in Jesus' teaching, "It is more blessed to give than to receive" (Acts 20:35). We find true blessing not in taking, but in generously giving of ourselves for the benefit of others.

The parable of the talents (Matthew 25:14-30) commends the servants who multiplied what was entrusted to them, investing their master's resources for greater return. When we commitment to contribute surplus value in our endeavors, we are being faithful stewards.

In humbling serving and generously giving, we walk in the footsteps of Christ. As 2 Corinthians 9:6 promises, "Whoever sows generously will also reap generously." May we always approach our tasks with a spirit of service and an eagerness to impart more blessing than we receive.

TODAY MATTERS
"Today" - a single day that holds so much weight and significance. Yet, how often do we treat it as just another ordinary day, forgetting that it is a gift from God, meticulously crafted for our ultimate good?

Hebrews 4:7 reminds us, "Today, if you hear His voice, do not harden your hearts." God controls every "today," and He will control our tomorrows as well. He has the power to bless each day, making it exciting and wonderful, if only we open our hearts and lives to His divine guidance.

In a world plagued by religious confusion, where people seek answers from every source but the Bible, we must cling to the simple biblical truth: God is in control, and He has a plan for our lives that far surpasses our deepest understanding.

Let us not fall into the trap of thinking that we have arrived too late in history to accomplish something great for the Lord, or that He is not on the verge of working through us and others to accomplish individual and kingdom growth.

Instead, let us embrace each "today" with optimism, joy, and unwavering faith that God is at work for our ultimate good (Romans 8:28). Let us be people of joy, regardless of our circumstances, for our joy is found in the One who holds all things together.

Taking Sides Without Context: A Foolish Reaction

In today's social media-saturated world, it's easy to see a headline, video clip, or tweet and immediately form an opinion without taking time to understand the full context. The book of Proverbs warns against such knee-jerk reactions:

"The first to plead his case seems right, Until another comes and examines him" (Proverbs 18:17 NASB).

This verse teaches an important principle - the first side we hear seems convincing until we listen to the other perspective. We should not be quick to take sides or pass judgment before objectively evaluating a situation from all angles.

In John 7, we see an example of people jumping to conclusions based on limited information. Crowds were divided about Jesus' identity. "Some said, 'He is a good man'; others said, 'No, on the contrary, he deceives the people'" (John 7:12). In truth, Jesus was the perfect Son of God, but most failed to recognize that because they judged by outward appearance rather than taking time to truly understand who he was.

As followers of Christ, we are called to turn from knee-jerk reactions. "He who gives an answer before he hears, It is folly and shame to him" (Proverbs 18:13). Let us heed this wisdom. When faced with controversy and division, may we pause, listen fully, gather all the facts in context, and avoid foolishly taking sides or passing judgment before the full truth is known.

VALUE AND TIME
What we value is what we find time for. This is a simple but profound truth that can help us examine our priorities and choices. The Bible teaches us that God values us so much that he gave his only Son for us (John 3:16). He also values our time and wants us to use it wisely and for his glory (Ephesians 5:15-17).

How do we show what we value in our lives? By how we spend our time. Do we spend time with God in prayer, worship, and reading his Word? Do we spend time with our family and friends, showing them love and support? Do we spend time serving others and sharing the gospel? Do we spend time cultivating our gifts and talents for his kingdom?

Or do we waste our time on things that are not important, beneficial, or pleasing to God? Do we spend time on worldly pursuits, selfish pleasures, or sinful habits? Do we spend time complaining, worrying, or being angry? Do we spend time procrastinating, avoiding, or escaping?

The way we use our time reflects our hearts and our values. Let us ask God to help us value what he values and to make the best use of our time. Let us remember that we have a limited amount of time on this earth, and that we will have to give an account of how we used it (Romans 14:12). Let us seek to honor God with our time and to invest it in things that have eternal value.

7 Critical Situations Where Silence is Essential - Using Proverbs

Pursuing The Pinnacle Podcast:

After much consideration, I will no longer post a weekly podcast. I have done much thinking and praying about this and believe this to be the right move at this time. I may bring it back in the future, but none for now. I have been and will continue to be a firm believer that if there is something worth doing, it is worth doing well. That is especially true within the realm of our spiritual walk and how we strive to encourage one another. I am hopeful that the podcast was done well and accomplished much.

I know many of you are already plugged into some really good podcasts from different preachers, therefore, I know you will not be short of any good material to listen to. If my podcasts have been edifying and encouraging to you over the last few years, then I believe I have accomplished my goal of why I started the podcast in the first place.

Thank you for your continued encouragement and support of my efforts over the last few years! God bless!
