Before I met my man, I was talking with guys who I needed to beg for the bare minimum. I constantly asked for updates, kept telling them how bad I feel about them making me wait for hours, understanding them every time they decided to cancel last minute on dates and always asking for assurances. But that’s how it really is, right? You need to kiss and meet a s**t ton of ugly frogs and come across them before you meet “the one”

Looking back, I realized that was so pathetic and stupid of me to beg for the small efforts. So ladies, if he wants you, he’s gonna show you and be consistent and will never make you question yourself if he’s really into you.

My man now? He learned how to speak my love language, communicates with me, never invalidated my feelings, never forgets to update me, always have bebe time for me, sends me money for my spa day and orders food for me through a courier despite the distance. And just a week ago, he traveled 115 miles to celebrate his birthday with me, spent time with my family, played with my son, went to church with me, ran errands with me, surprised me with an ipad w/ magic keyboard so I wouldn’t be stressed out and have something to use for my online review for my exam, bought me my first jordans, buy me flowers without me asking him and treats me like a queen that I am.

And you’re out there still begging for that boy for some bare minimum? Nah. Don’t waste your time.

P.S. He didn’t propose yet 😂
