Have you joined us for MNHC's twice-monthly birdwatching club yet? If not, join us November 9th at Lee Metcalf Wildlife Refuge with instructor Elena Ulev!

Elena is a Master Naturalist and Certified Interpretive Guide with over 30 years of experience conducting bird surveys and birding for fun. She is an avid eBirder, logging 180 species in Missoula County to date. Elena uses a variety of techniques to help all ages and experience levels learn how to identify birds by sight and by sound.

Missoula County is home to over 200 bird species! From migrating waterfowl, raptors and warblers in the spring to flocks of red crossbills and breeding owls in the winter, each season is fun and exciting to bird in. In the Birdwatching Club we will visit different sites twice a month during every season to find what species are present and how they use their habitats. This club will meet twice a month every month. All experience levels are welcome, and binoculars are available to borrow.

Each month there will be two dates offered for this club, but you will only need to pay for one to join us for both and you will also receive a discount code to join us on future months at a discounted rate!

Join us October 8th for MNHC's Annual Banquet and Auction!

Early bird pricing ends after August 14th, so follow the link below to secure you tickets today.

Each year, we gather for an evening of food, drinks, and fun to support MNHC’s science and nature educational programming for people of all ages, and this year we are celebrating 20 years of our Visiting Naturalist in the Schools program. The Montana Natural History Center is committed to our mission to promote and cultivate the appreciation, understanding, and stewardship of nature through education and we invite you to attend and show us your support.

We will begin the evening with a large online auction, filled with fun and beautiful items donated by local businesses, artists, and friends of MNHC. Grab a drink and mingle as you peruse this diverse array and engage in some fun and fierce bidding all while raising funds for a good cause! Once we have all had a chance to bid (more than once!) we will shift to our main event: the live auction! MNHC’s live auction is full of amazing experiences, adventures, and gear—you won’t want to miss it!

Thanks to our 2022 Banquet an Auction sponsor Vicariously Montana for helping make this event possible!
