Hey educators! 👋 Did you listen to our recent episode on the criminalization of Black students?! One way children are criminalized is not only behaviorally, but academically.

Anti-racism in education is a lot more than accepting other cultures! If you look at the data on literacy rates in prison, the percentage of people who are incarcerated and also functionally illiterate are astounding! As educators, we need to accept our role in this and FIX IT! TEACHING READING IS SOCIAL JUSTICE! Let’s look at the science of reading and finally do what works... for ALL students.
