My Journey
It all started when i was a young fella, getting home from school picking up a cartridge of my favourite Sega Master System game (Paperboy) and praying to god that when I inserted it, it would work. I remember the joy it gave me to play it & still till this day I feel the same when I load up a game. No matter what game it is. It’s crazy that I've pretty much seen the progression of gaming since it started to what it has become today. It blows my mind.
I was fortunate enough that my hard working Mother put together enough money to help my Brother & I get all the consoles/games we wanted when released. ‘Which I am eternally grateful for’. From the Sega Master System, Sega Master System 2, Sega Mega Drive, Sega Game Gear. To Nintendo Gameboys, Super NES and then on to PS1. By that time I had my first job and bought my own PS2, PS3 and now the PS4 each year that they came out.
I always loved battling my younger brother on videogames from a young age, sweep kicking for the whole round on MK until he would get the s**ts and we’d start punching on. Haha. Too my mates coming over and we’d jam for hours taking turns on levels trying to clock Alex The Kidd. Then many years later in 1996 watching Jim Carey in ‘The Cable Guy’ standing on a satellite screaming about how far technology will go. “You can do your shopping at home, or play Mortal Kombat with a friend from Vietnam. There's no end to the possibilities” and I remember thinking to myself how fu***ng cool would that be. And who would of thought he would get it so right back then...CRAZY!
