DISCLAIMER

My attention has been drawn to a malicious, vile and baseless attempt to draw me and the Vice President into the Mamprusi-Kusasi fight over the disputed Bawku area.

I wish to state without equivocation that I have NEVER called any military or police commander anywhere in the country either acting on my own behalf or on behalf of the Vice President on any issues pertaining to Bawku or any dispute between any groups. I therefore consider this attempt to soil my reputation and that of the Vice President as unfortunate.

The loss of innocent lives in the Bawku area is a scar on the conscience of the nation that every well meaning Ghanaian must refrain from sponsoring or flaming but rather support the ongoing attempts by the security services to restore peace in the area.

I urge all to treat this with utmost contempt and I further entreat the sponsors of these lies to desist from such acts.
