๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐๐ ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐ญ๐๐๐๐๐ ๐บ๐ฌ๐ถ? HBA services, Sir Hisham Sarwar and Dankash Fiverr ๐ YouTube playlists. They are in Urdu/Hindi but you can also find tons of English videos as well. While watching these videos, I used to note down key points being told about Fiverr SEO to implement once I start creating gigs. โ๏ธ
In the start back in May 2022, I made one gig, did all of its SEO, added a nice video with an attractive gig image, thought this is it, it's the best gig I could make, and left it on its own. When I saw the impressions growing slowly, I got disappointed and thought Fiverr isn't working for me. I ended up accidentally deleting the gig while making some edits. ๐คง
โฉ Fast forward, after gaining motivation, I decided to at least complete 6 gigs, each with a new video and gig thumbnail. I got a click after 15-18 days on one of my gigs and after a day, the person inboxed. Most of the SEO tips you'll find in the playlist I mentioned, but here are some additional tips from my own experience. โจ
1๏ธโฃ While making the gigs, I would first open 8 gigs of people who have ranked already on the keyword. I checked their profile, description, tags, and title and copy-pasted them onto WordPad and Excel sheet, then I tried finding similarities in the keywords they used and highlighted those. After gaining ideas (Don't copy anything, only take ideas) I optimized my profile and everything in the gig in a similar but professional way. Also, notice in the pricing what service your competitor is charging extra for, which you can offer at a low rate or for free in the start. ๐ท๏ธ
2๏ธโฃ Check out the keywords used by those people who have ranked with no orders or just a few orders as well. Try to experiment with 7 gigs each made professionally with proper SEO. Time-consuming of course, but trust me it's worth the hard work! ๐งช
3๏ธโฃ After taking inspiration, make a concise description split into paragraphs. I added points like "What I require from you:" "What you will get:" and "Why choose me?" which helps distinguish you from other sellers! ๐๏ธ
4๏ธโฃ Take inspiration from your competitors for gig image and video colors and design style. ๐จ Also, try to add your voiceover into the video as it builds trust. ๐ค Use less text and show more of your work in the video instead. Since I didn't have a portfolio at the start, I just took creative commons videos from YouTube and worked on those to build a portfolio and make my final gig video.
5๏ธโฃ In the start, I used auto-refresh extension for staying online on Firefox with 5 minutes gap for buyer requests. Though rarely I would see any buyer request and that too in some other language. But I noticed that using this/staying online does affect my impressions as I saw a slow increase in them when I stopped using the extension for some days. Do use it in the start at least, it can help you in gaining impressions too. ๐
6๏ธโฃ Download the Fiverr app to reply at lightning speed to your client. โก In settings, add a loud ringtone on it so you won't miss the message. Take it slow though and don't get overexcited, greet professionally and answer any questions asked. Also, ask them questions back related to the work which you will need to know to get started. First, understand the complete requirements before starting the work so you don't end up ruining your profile because of the excitement of just getting the work. ๐ฅ You can ask them what they have in mind or whether they can show an example so you know exactly what they require. I provided the client with a sample first by editing one of his videos to ensure he is satisfied with the quality of my work, which the client admired and told me to send the offer.
7๏ธโฃ I recommend checking out google articles or YouTube videos on how to communicate with clients at the start, during, and end of the project. ๐ฌ All of these communication skills make a wonderful impression. ๐๏ธโ๐จ๏ธ
โ Don't use words like "Dear, Sir, or Madam".
โ Don't use short sentences like "ok, I will do it" or "No, I can't"
Be professional like:
โ
"Sure it can be done, I'll start working on it right away!" or "My apologies/I'm sorry, but these types of changes are beyond my scope of work."
Show enthusiasm to work on the client's project with professional, formal, and longer sentences. Don't send a lot of small sentences, instead try using one sentence. YouTube videos will help you a lot in this!
8๏ธโฃ Keep the client updated every day with the progress of the work and reply fast to any of their queries. โฐ If they ask to see it before the deadline, send it with a watermark. It will also help guarantee that your client is ๐ฏ% satisfied with the work at the end of the project and increase your chances of them working with you long-term after getting impressed by your fast delivery, communication, and quality of work!
9๏ธโฃ Lastly, don't stress out too much about losing the client! ๐ I know this isn't easy as it sounds especially in a marketplace like Fiverr where there are so many competitors, but when this fear will go away, then you will be able to talk professionally and still give your best in the work. โ
Also, don't put all your eggs in one basket! ๐งบ๐ฅ I'm not going to rely on Fiverr alone for getting clients, but next up also learn everything about Upwork and Guru to offer my services there as well. Relying on one platform will make you disheartened when they turn unfair to you or suspend your account someday on some issue. Also, bypass competition with a powerful presence on social media! So I'm working on building my own brand called Eaglelytics
