It's the same free-to-start MOBA with the same maps and monsters the launched on the Nintendo Switch in July, though the Pokémon Unite team recently rolled out a new update in preparation for its mobile debut. In a post on the game's official website, producer Masaaki Hoshino detailed the new features, starting with full cross-platform support and account linking capability across mobile devices and Nintendo Switch.

Destiny 2 developer Bungie has clearly noticed the appeal of a stylish guardian, and to honor that, it’s creating a digital fashion magazine featuring looks from the game. Veteran RPG studio BioWare skipped EA Play Live 2021 earlier this week, meaning that we didn't get any new updates on Dragon Age 4 (or whatever it ends up being called). However, in a new report, VentureBeat cites sources that say Dragon Age 4 development is going well, and that it's currently on track for a 2023 release window.

Halo Infinite’s flighting (Microsoft‘s term for public testing) could begin as early as next weekend, according to a post on Halo Waypoint. There is no confirmed date for these tests yet.

Free Fire, a freemium battle royale title for mobile platforms, has been downloaded over 1 billion times on Google Play alone.
That's according to publisher Garena, which announced the news on Linkedin and claimed Free Fire has become "the first mobile battle royale game achieve this milestone."
Free Fire is developed by Vietnamese studio 111 Dots and published by Garena. It launched in beta form on iOS and Android back in September 2017 and had grossed over $1 billion worldwide as of November 2019.

The NPD Group has released its monthly sales report for June, revealing which games, consoles, and accessories sold the best in the US, while also providing an overall snapshot of the health of the business in America.
Total spending on video games across games, hardware, and accessories was up by 5% for June 2021 compared to June 2020, reaching $4.9 billion. For the first six months of 2021, total spending was $28.9 billion, up 15% compared to the first six months of 2020.
Rainbow Six Extraction is a three-player online co-op adventure and will feature familiar faces from Rainbow Six: Siege.
This isn't the first time this game has been delayed. The game was first announced back in June 2019 at Ubisoft's E3 Showcase and was scheduled to launch in February 2020. The game was then moved to the next fiscal year with no definite release date. Ubisoft cited COVID-19 as a reason for the initial delay.
Christopher Judge who players will recognize as the voice of Kratos from God of War (2018) will voice King T’Challa, aka the Black Panther, in Marvel’s Avengers’ War for Wakanda expansion. Entertainment Weekly broke the news of Judge’s casting on Thursday. Square Enix and Crystal Dynamics will launch the War for Wakanda expansion, which will add Black Panther to Marvel’s Avengers’ playable roster, sometime this August.
Ghostwire: Tokyo was announced at E3 2019, and its first gameplay was revealed in June 2020, when Sony touted the game as a timed PlayStation 5 (and PC) exclusive. A few months later, Microsoft acquired Tango’s parent company ZeniMax, making Ghostwire one of two Microsoft-owned but initially PlayStation-exclusive games. The other exclusive, Arkane’s Deathloop, was also delayed but is scheduled for a September release.
The company will reportedly build out its gaming team in the coming months to be able to start offering games for streaming within the next year. Netflix isn't exactly inexperienced in the area and previously developed games based on its popular shows. However, it released those titles on mobile and consoles.
EA says that DICE is "looking to build and test" crossplay for Battlefield 2042. That makes it sound like crossplay is a maybe, at best, but EA also says that PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X/S crossplay will be tested during the invite-only Battlefield 2042 technical alpha this summer. It's hard to test something you haven't built, and it's summer right now, so clearly DICE is doing more than "looking" at the idea. I'd go so far as to say that Battlefield 2042 will have crossplay.
Console players are going to have to wait to get their hands on Odyssey while Frontier Developments fixes up the PC version of the game. The Odyssey update was a massive undertaking, tens of thousands of new places to go and the ability to explore worlds on foot. It was originally meant to arrive on consoles on fall 2021. There is no new release date as of yet.
The beta test for Gran Turismo 7 appeared on the PlayStation website, despite not yet being announced.
As reported by Eurogamer, fans that were on the Experience PlayStation website this morning (July 12) were able to attempt to redeem a beta-test code for Gran Turismo 7.

The enduringly popular online multiplayer game Warframe is set to grow once again with a new expansion, The New War, and the game's developers will show it off at the TennoCon event very soon. Digital Extremes will broadcast the gameplay reveal for The New War on July 17 as part of this year's all-virtual TennoCon event.
The event begins Saturday, July 17 at 2 PM PT / 5 PM ET. Everyone who watches the event on Amazon's Twitch service will get a free Prime Warframe for the game. Coinciding with TennoCon, Digital Extremes will also conduct an in-game Relay event where players can meet up to get a "sneak peek" of "exclusive new content." Some developers from Digital Extremes will be in the game to mingle with as well, the studio said.
FIFA 22’s PC version will not feature next-gen improvements seen on PS5 and Xbox Series X, including its new animation tech. The PC edition of FIFA 22 will instead be comparable to the last-gen version, to the dismay of its small but vocal core of fans.

On July 14th, two days before the movie comes out in the US, The first draws inspiration from the star’s pregame style and sees him wearing a blazer, hoodie, shorts and shirt and tie.
The second outfit gives lets you dress up James either in his Tune Squad uniform or a Taco Tuesday-themed getup. Naturally, all of the skins feature LeBron wearing his latest signature Nikes which, as you might have guessed, come out this month as well. As a third option, you can buy the skins together in a bundle that comes with extra in-game items, an emote and a special loading screen.
In an exclusive interview with indianexpress.com, Rosen Sharma, Founder and CEO of BlueStacks, shared his thoughts on why tech companies like Microsoft and Apple want to bring smartphone apps to the desktop.
“There is a pull in the market from consumers and that pull in the market is creating the space, which is, everybody wants to use their apps on a PC or a Mac,” Rosen Sharma, the chief executive of BlueStacks, underlines why he believes Microsoft’s move to bring Android apps natively on Windows 11 will only benefit his visualisation platform that allows users to run Android apps on a PC.
Sharma says it is consumers who want to use their smartphone apps on desktops, forcing companies like Microsoft, Apple and Google to look at this space more seriously. “The use case has become so dominant that they are almost forced to join the party,” Sharma tells indianexpress.com in a call from San Francisco.
Insomniac Games, developer of titles including Ratchet & Clank: Rift Apart and Marvel's Spider-Man, is hiring for a new multiplayer project. The studio recently launched the latest addition to the Ratchet & Clank series, a PlayStation 5 exclusive and one of PS5's essential games. While the developer has now successfully launched two games in less than a year, it seems a new project is already on the horizon.
Carl Pei's Nothing has announced its foray into the Indian market and partnered with homegrown e-commerce player, Flipkart. The company on Friday also announced that the ear (1) true wireless earbuds would launch in India same time as the global launch. Microsoft unveiled its latest operating system, Windows 11, following months of teasers and an accidental leak a week before the event. Windows 11 will offer a free upgrade, according to Microsoft. Windows 11 introduces some improvements to the user interface, such as a new Start menu that is now located at the center of the taskbar. At first glance, Windows 11's user interface resembles the canceled Windows 10X, which was an OS that was planned for dual-screen devices like the Surface Neo.
The renders, which come from leaker OnLeaks and GizNext, show a smartwatch with an edge-to-edge display and two buttons on the right-hand side but no rotating crown or bezel. Samsung is expected to announce the watch on June 28th during an event at which it says it’s “reimagining smartwatches.”
