Post (1/2) - Sierra Leone Africa
Photo 1) Local soccer with the community boys. This moment was so special to me. The sun was beating down on us somewhere in the mid 90s, humidity was brutal, drinking as much water as I can to stay hydrated…felt like I was playing soccer in a sauna 😂 but I LOVED everything about it. The boys threw a jersey at me and told me to represent. Even though we couldn’t understand each other and lived halfway across the world in wildly different environments, soccer became the common language that unified us in that moment I couldn’t have been happier. We lost 3-0.
Photo 2) The locals here would come to work everyday sifting through the rock embedment in the river looking for gold and breaking apart the different types of rock to sell.
Photo 3) The market downtown Bo was a wild place. Organized chaos of hundreds of people in these tiny streets selling and yelling as you walk through. I felt emotionally exhausted once I got out, all my senses were being used at once the entire time 👀🤣
Photo 4) A beautiful moment with the Pastors of Veritas Community Church baptizing some of the children.
Photo 5/6/7) A couple different views of Sierra Leone 🌎
Tomorrow I’ll be posting all the faces of these beautiful people 🥰🤍
