Isiolo Governor Abdi Ibrahim today called on the Kenya kwanza government to prioritize implementation of multi-billion projects within Isiolo, Marsabit and Tana river counties.

He singled out construction of Merti-Isiolo highway, construction of petroleum depot at Isiolo and LAPSSET Corridor as key driver towards economic development and actualization of key pledges made during the last general election.

Addressing during interdenominational Thanksgiving and Homecoming ceremony of the PS for Petroleum Mr. Mohamed Liban, the Governor also appealed to the deputy president to consider appointments of more people from the region as ambassadors, CEOs and directors in various institutions.

"We will continue to knock your doors for more appointments so that the region benefit from the Kenya kwanza government" said the Governor

Deputy president Rigathi Gachagua assured that the Kenya Kwanza government will continue to open up the region through construction of mega projects to spur economic development.

He said the region will also reap more in terms of government appointments in a near future.

Present were the speaker of the National Assembly Rt. Hon. Moses wetangula, Cs Defence Adan Duale, Florence Bore, Mithika Linturi and Cs energy Davis Chirchir, regional leaders, and members of Parliament
